It was like that here last year! I do not have allergies, but I do have a little asthma so I need to stay inside till the tree pollen settles down. It is so thick!! Last year it turned my car yellow, everything was yellow come to think.... Blinking

Bluebonnets are starting to bud and flower; but little disappointed with them - last year's patch were so much larger and gave a wonderful display of blooms. The spiderworts are blooming right along with them, mainly purples, but one white opened.

Got this one from Lowe's discount rack - didn't have a name/tag on it. I cut off the spent blooms and now profusely blooming again - lovely color.

My neighbor's red camellia - her pink magnolia is the first to bloom every year.

The ipheon, paperwhites, and muscari finished their display.

Susan, in regards to blooms in basement, a bank of 8 fluorescents does the trick.

The avg temp down there is around 60° so plants that like it cool do really well down there. That area serves as a staging area for forced bulbs after they're taken out of refrigerator and before coming upstairs for our viewing pleasure. Tender plants and some bulbs are also overwintered there.

Nice set up! How do you control humidity?

Very nice jmorth. Basements are usually a little damp anyway right? So they would probably like that. Do you have heat mats?

Great blooms, all!

Annette - how wonderful to have bouquets in the house.

Jmorth - what you have blooming in your basement is currently blooming in my garden. Which is good since we have no basements here. Big Grin

Didn't I get mine in a trade with you a couple of years ago?

The Bletilla? Maybe - I have traded a lot of those over the years. Did I get the Gloriosa lily from you in exchange??? You have a good memory.

I love those Dianne! I ordered a Bletilla striata from SRG but they said it was unavailable. I guess not enough people ordered it? Or maybe crop failure.
There are very few basements here, the few that have one deal with flooding constantly and they have sump pumps. LOL. Not something I would like to deal with.

I bet you're the reason I dreamed that our entire basement was a garden @jmorth last night!

Looking back, it had perfect lighting and, as I explained to a friend - somehow it had enough light that all the plants grew well!

Thanks for a lovely dream! I recall the paths being weed-free but hard - they were cement!
