OK -- I don't have time for an art shot; just grabbing a quickie here on my desk. It's 64 degrees outside so I might go out and catch a photo of the outdoor one, but better; I'll find the one I uploaded earlier...

Thumb of 2014-11-24/MotherRaphaela/0d187b You really have to click to see the enlarged photo for this one. There are 4 different sedums here. Two of them, I believe, are forms of Crassula rupestris; I'd have to look up the Latin for the others... Not now! Maybe you recognize them?

Thumb of 2014-11-24/MotherRaphaela/6adfea Here it is with the NoID that had 2 flower stalks; one I have saved; the other went to seed in the flower bed... (This sedum came in the pot with the NoID so I've just let them grow together for the past -- oh my, it must be 3 years now!)

The sedum in the last photo looks a lot like S. divergens. A great sedum.

I've seen that crassula before, but don't remember the name.

The pork and beans leaves break off easily. I have spread them throughout the garden and small plants are propagating everywhere. My flapjacks are very big plants.

The problem is that when you are young your life it is ruined by your parents. When you are older it is ruined by your children.

The largest one is definitely "Flapjack" -- I remember that name. And they are supposed to turn red when they get put out in the summer sun. The name "Rosary Vine" is right, too, although I don't see why. We had another very different houseplant plant with that name when I was a kid. Confused I'm thinking the name of the other small one was "Teeny" something. Wish I remembered the name of the one tucked in the back left -- its growth pattern is nearly identical to the one in center front in my photo; just much larger.

I'm also thinking it's time to start replacing my light bulbs! Well, one thing at a time here, or I don't get anything done! Green Grin!

Go with God. MR

Looks kind of melted. I saves some in the greenhouse just in case it dies.

Oh my, I see you got snow. Let us know if it makes it to next spring. It will be interesting to see if it just goes to gooey mush when everything thaws out.

The one that Connie brought during the Hybridizing Clinic, has been through a week of mid 20 degree weather. It is doing very well so far. I brought some of it indoors just in case. It has such an odd texture, kind of rubbery/plastic.

So it is hardy, but deciduous in your growing zone.

Are we talking about Fine Leaf Gold?? Mine barely holds on but yet it is a survivor. It has not bloomed for me and it does not grow very tall at all. In fact it is a mat no taller than about a quarter inch or so. One patch (i.e. separate purchased 4" pot) died out completely.

Connie, I kept mine on the covered porch, so it got minimal sun, and a fair amount of water. It got about 4 inches tall. It grew like crazy. It has flattened out since the cold weather, but looks and feels healthy.
In the sedum book it says that it rarely blooms. Mine did not bloom. In the conditions I grew these in they grew better than any of my other sedum. I was pleasantly surprised.

Good information about FLG, thanks Lynn! This sedum appears to work well in trough plantings where you want an area of very short ground cover that pops out from the rest of the planting. I'm thinking of a large trough planting at Garland's where they use FLG. A must see if you go there. It is for sale for a mere $600+ and would probably need a crane to move. I'm sure @Patty would know the one I am talking about as she posted a photo of it a year or so ago.

It is the one with the Asian theme. Garland's changed it a bit this year. It looked better when Patty took the photo.

I think we have been going back and forth between two different sedum.

I do have the one you are talking about Greg, it has been sold under two names that I know of, 'Lemon Ball' and 'Lemon Coral'.
It has made it through one winter so far. It seems to stay in a mound, and so far isn't spreading.

I know the trough you're talking about, Connie, and it IS a monster - with legs no less! The amazing thing is I didn't see any drainage holes in it Shrug! I don't remember taking a pic, but if I did it's gone.
