Great making them onto a list.

Now we need a list of people that volunteered to write. I have started three articles but not on any of those topics.

What are your three topics, Rita? Would love to hear, and it may also let others know that the topic is already being worked on. I agree it's awesome to have Sharon's moderated list, and could include author's who are working on them. Thumbs up

Late Daylilies and how to add late and extra late bloomers to your garden.

I only listed the topics because I didn't want them to get lost amid the chatter. I thought a list might be easier for you to find if you are searching for a topic idea.

I will do the article on seed starting, if that is okay? By what deadline does the article have to be submitted?

I don't know if any of the commercial growers here on the forum would be interested and have the time to write an article about how they grow their plants, including hybridizing and culling seedlings. That is something that I found genuinely interesting from threads/posts on this forum. Much of which ... I honestly didn't know about!

More ideas ....

I would love to see Gleni write an article about growing daylilies in Australia. I love his sense of humor about growing them and his pics including some of the wildlife and info about his climate that challenge his efforts! (No pressure there, Glen!) Whistling Whistling Whistling

An article that lists the many places that are recommended to purchase daylilies which could include the LA, the store here on ATP, as well as a listing of website links of commercial growers (especially some of those who post here). And also how to get a good deal for anyone new to daylilies!

Organic ways to deal with pests and diseases of daylilies.

I would love to do one for you: Daylilies in heat in Australia: exactly on the lines Becky suggests. It will be fun if you will have me. How many words and illustrations do you aim for?

Glen- great! Any length is fine, and the number of illustrations is up to you. If there are too few, I add to the article from images from our database. If the author gets a little to excited about images, I narrow them down Smiling

I'm totally ignorant of how folks generate articles. Do you have a preferred text editor, or photo format - size, resolution, etc?? Are articles submitted via ATP mail system? and to whom? or is there a thread/forum for posting articles? Sorry to be so completely in the dark!

Rita is right, and I suggest using the "simple" option. It works like posting in the threads- not difficult at all!

Please don't get snagged on formatting or picture placement or anything else- I edit all the articles and am happy to take care of all of that for you!

If you need anything at all, don't hesitate to tree-mail me Thumbs up
