This is a beautiful lavender bloom of my Society Garlic but you can hardly see it. Where's Waldo?? I have some here and there in the garden to deter bugs.

Thanks Boo - the hib blooms are gorgeous. Mine is in pretty much full sun (my bad) so the blooms don't hold up all day in the heat. I thought it would get more pm shade where it's at... Glare

My yellow one is the same but my red blooms stay open all day. I am leasing my home. When it's time to buy again, I have garden factors that are important!
My last house has a backyard that faced east. My plants loved that!

My house now is lush but only in the front. The back yard is so far away from the patio area, I don't use it. If I owned it I would add a brick patio and water fountain and make the whole area a shade garden. Alas, it's not the right season for me to own!

I am not at a higher elevation, just in the lowest point I think in the valley and near the river which cause a cold pocket. You all can be 32 but I will be at 22 or less. We have noticed anywhere from a 10-14 degree difference in
the winter temps. Now if we only got that in the summer it might be worth it but no that is not the case at all.
