Did you have a problem with gnats? I hate gnats. Grumbling
So I have only 1-2 indoor plants.

Haha! Bev, you sound like I did when I was babysitting the plant forest a while ago. Sticking tongue out

Marilyn, I totally despise gnats as well. I've tried a TON of different things to control them. If you're not adverse to using chemicals, the best thing I've found is Hi-Yield brand Systemic Insect Granules. Not a single gnat in my indoor plants anymore. Hurray!

Wow, I may have to try that so I can have a few plants to adorn my humble abode. Thanks J.C.
I try to not use too much of the chemical stuff but this would be wonderful if I can eliminate the vinegar and soap caps which I have used to kill the dratted things. In the spring I tend to buy plants and put them in the small amount of light I have next
to my patio door until I am sure of the weather. I have a bunch of agave sitting there now.

I left my house for a week once and left a sink tub full of dishwater with soap suds. When I came back there were no more suds but there were hundreds of dead gnats in the water... Shrug!

I use the yellow sticky pads. Ugly, but they did a good job last winter. Once I rented an apartment that had room with windows on 3 sides. That was the only time I really got into houseplants. I crocheted a white net trellis that covered three big windows. Had a hoya the grew all thought the trellis and bloomed like crazy.

I so wish I had window sills with light exposure but they are all heavily shaded. But then again, it is so dry in our winter heated home that things don't do well for that reason either. And people who forget to water until they are beyond help can be blamed too. (that would be me) That is why succulents are a better choice for me as they don't need as much attention.

Thanks Marilyn! And yes, that is also why I went with succulents, but now that I have found cold hardy succulents, I'm going with those! Hurray! Hurray! Meanwhile I do have several plants to move outdoors! Hopefully that will happen this afternoon!
Thumbs up

I was given some mystery exterior plants today that will survive our Zone 6b winters, but I know little else about them.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

#3 looks like that plant Lynn was talking about on here recently, but now I can't remember the name. Its a hybrid of a common weed (in this area) @valleylynn I think she'll remember. She saw it at a plant show and couldn't remember the name and then someone on here ID'd it :P
All are great looking plants JC and you should get some cool blooms from the hylotelephium (upright sedum) Thumbs up

I do recognize the sedum, hard to tell which ones they might be though.
Greg, I don't recognize #3. I'll look at it again when I get home.

Sure are nice healthy plants J. C.
