Yes Susie and they are really a beautiful lilac!
My Morning Glory with several varieties that grow together is blooming too. Hurray!

This is taken with my cell phone ---- not as bright as in real life. This vine has 6 different MG's on it so I never know what I will see in the morning!

Becky I have a Blackie variety of sweet potato vine that has flowers like that. I put a picture on the data base of it. I was totally surprised when it flowered ! Did not know they did that. Big Grin

Linda, I didn't either! I was so shocked! I'll go look at yours and make a comment. Big Grin

Do you keep yours in the shade or does it get a lot of sun? I love mixing coleus and OSPV together.

It is on the north side of the house so gets some afternoon sun but not a lot, as it is under a big tree. I love coleus with just about anything. I have several large pots with all kinds of different colors. I do not know why we do not see more of these plants in Arizona. Thumbs up

Becky, remember the little 4x4 pot with two coleus I bought when we went to the nursery? One red and on green. I potted them in a much larger terracotta pot... Thrashers yanked them out yesterday. Sad They are hearty little plants! I hope they survive!

Linda, the summer winds nursery had quite a few variates a couple of weeks ago when Susie and I went. I am so limited on space I need to be very careful with what I buy and grow. In the past, I have seen nice plants at Lowes and Home Depot too but they usually only carry about 4 varieties.

Susie those thrashers really love your neighborhood. Do you know that when I lived in the little bungalow near you I never had them visit me?

I have a lot of coleus indoors too...some is rooting, some in planted. Coleus does great in a window!

Susie that is terrible what the Thrasher did ! Crying They come around here in the spring and sing a variety of songs like my favorite Mockingbird does, but once many years ago I saw a Thrasher just beat the tar out of another bird. They are not to be messed with ! Blinking

Becky in the spring Walmart sells Coleus in little six packs with a big variety of colors. That is the inexpensive way I get mine started. I did lose all of them in last winters cold so had to start over this year. This time I will take cuttings and bring what I can inside. They make the backyard look so much like Fall. Love them. Lovey dubby

I agree, Linda, about making the yard look like Fall! I've got to get more!

Of course! My lawn is coming in pretty well. (Lexie had a romp on it today so... we'll see Whistling Angry but, she's a "good girl" so I can't be angry about that). Maybe the fact that she counter surfed (and succeeded) for treats today. Oh well. She's a curious girl.

But, yes! Let's do a nursery run and hotdogs (or sushi depending on wallet) this week!

that would be very fun. I am speaking tomorrow at a networking group but any time after, it's good for me.
I'm glad Lexie is happy and not afraid of the scary wet grass. Rolling on the floor laughing

Love the coleus and SPV! I had the most gorgeous huge hanging coleus basket in the shade garden, and we got frost while we were away, and poof! Nothing but black mush when I got home. So sad... I was going to overwinter that and make a bunch more.

Just gone, Boo. Oh well, the frost didn't get all my plants, so I'm thankful for that. Garden closing ceremony is on Sunday, and then the others will come inside for the winter. Time to 'hunker down', LOL!

Brenda, I've been rooting a lot of coleus so by March I'll have a nursery! If you're down here I'll give you some. Big Grin
