Iris 'Hidden Surprise'

Why does the picture not show (in general the entry doesn't look like other iris entries)?

That's so bizarre! I can see the photo among your images: http://garden.org/plants/brows... but it doesn't show up in the entry: Tall Bearded Iris (Iris 'Hidden Surprise')

This is a mystery for @dave to solve. I can't think of any reason this would have happened.

It's interesting that nobody noticed this before.

There is an unusual string in the caption (\") and that was breaking the formatting of the image. It was a bug on my side because it should display the image regardless of what is in the caption. So I fixed that bug and the image shows up correctly now.

Thank you for reporting this!

Thanks for fixing it! (I found it when I was wrestling with my ATP plant list, and the picture icon didn't display, lol.)

You got Iris (Iris 'Second Fiddle') in your inventory list twice.
I had that happen a few times when I first added a plant, then kept the page open while doing something else and come back and click to add it again. Maybe @Dave can have it give a warning that the plant is already added?

Thanks, Sue.

I've been finding the duplicate plants as I scroll through to edit the categories and make comments.

I'm b-a-a-a-c-k.

This time, I added the plant Heuchera 'Pinot Gris' to my list. I looked at my Heuchera list after the addition, but only went down alphabetically until the P's, and did not see it. I thought for some reason I messed up, so I added it again.

The second time I looked at the Heuchera list and still did not see it under the P's, I scrolled down to the end, where I saw it. (All of the other Heucheras were listed in the database without species, so were listed first; this is a villosa species so it was added at the end of the list.)

One problem, though, was that there were 2 entries - because I added it twice. (So Dave, I echo Sue's request that maybe there should be a warning that the plant was already added to the list?)

I deleted one of the two entries, then looked at my plant list summary (on the left hand side bar), to see how many plants tagged Heuchera I had. There should be 12 total now, but it shows as 13. (So I get the feeling that that sidebar list was not updated when the duplicate entry was removed.)

I updated the lists feature this morning to try to prevent duplicate plants from being created. I think I have resolved the issue and it shouldn't happen again. I also weeded out all the duplicates that were already existing in each person's list (one person even had the same plant 4 times.)

The counts in the menubar should now also be accurate.
