I'm definitely excited. I've been outside three times already checking on its progress LOL. Hopefully the skinny stalk one isn't too far behind the other one. I'll definitely post pictures once both open. Thumbs up

Oh Cameron I know just how you feel. The first and last thing I do each day - and many times in between - is check on the bloom progress. When it is cold and windy and I cant get out of doors I have a fine little pair of binoculars and I go from room to room and from window to window counting buds and noting what has opened.

That's why I wish I had lots of windows so I could view my small garden even on bitterly cold days. Even if my gardens dormant, I'd still like to see what birds I have in my yard. I went outside a few moments ago and one petal opened. It has candy scent too. Hurray!

Is this your first year for this Iris Plume? Seems like those falls should open further -- uncurl, also. Shrug!

Mary Ann this is the first year. Thanks Bonnie, tomorrow I'll see if the falls relax a little. Thumbs up I checked a moment ago and the falls are still curled. This is the first time I've grown a bearded iris so I guess my statement about it being fully open was premature Hilarious!

I'm enjoying your pics tremendously. I don't care how many you post! Irises were my first plant purchase for our new home 10 years ago. They go so well with everything.
