I am getting some nice plants from Blueridge, including Carnival in Mexico! I've been wanting that for a while now.

WIGGED OUT is definitely different!

What you see on 'Wigged Out' is actually massive proliferations! This plant does produce a small (ugly) and insignificant bloom but it produces gazillions of proliferations!

So you breed it to others to get that quality? You obviously don't want "Wigged Out" for it's ugly flower...or do you? I looked at the pics up close. I see what you mean.

I actually added "Wigged Out" to the back of one of my non-daylily flower beds. I think the proliferations and foliage will make an interesting addition. Big Grin

Anna, the time, forms and expence to ship to Australia are a bit daunting for me at the moment. One day.

Hi all. So exciting to see all those new fans arrive. I love this time of year. I have been so busy with cleaning up the Winter mess, and the last 10 days between rain and very cool temperatures, fertilizing all 250 plants and seedlings. Last year this time it was 80 degrees. Today it barely reached 50 degrees. Too friggin cold. But tomorrow sunshine and highs in the mid 60's. By the weekend it will finally reach the 70's.

I received an email from Mark (Abundant Daylilies) that my plants were shipped today. Hurray! And so it begins. It looks like I lost 2 plants this Winter which really upsets me. 'Paradise Pattern' was one I received last Spring and it never bloomed, and 'Shark Attack' which was planted in late August from Faye Shooter. Ouch…Really upsetting. And, one of my favorites 'Arctic Lace' which bloomed prolifically last summer for me may also be lost. Ugh! Poor babies. Really, hate to lose adult plants

My seedling bed fared much better. I only lost one seedling Ronald Reagan X Big Frosty. I have more seeds of that cross, so will try again.

Next week expecting shipments from Michelle, James Hall, Bearwme, and Tnrocks. I love celebrating 'Christmas in May'. Talk about being a kid in a candy shop, that's me. Love those boxes. Thumbs up Hurray! Whistling

I lost a lot of daylilies this past winter, mostly from rot, we had a ton of rain. I was devastated to loose 'A Friend To All ', 'Shark Attack' and, 'Cat Scratch' I got all three in the spring of 2013 and they never bloomed, and all died. I also lost 'Barbara Mandrell' but... Michele gave me a new one as a bonus with my order. Green Grin!
I got an email also from Abundantdaylilies and I still need to pot what I got from Michele, I got them soaking.
This is what I got from Michele:
STINGER
MARIETTA HEARTBEAT
CELTIC BUTTERFLY
BARBARA MANDRELL
JULES LOUIS PETIT
CARL HARMON
KEN DEAVER
BUDDY'S VICTORIAN JADE
MIA BELLA OF GASCONE
WONDER'S NEVER CEASE

Loved your list Gerry. I noticed your Radio Rider is a parent of Blue-headed Motmot (which is beautiful bird in the avian world). I wonder if the bloom is actually this colour? Which is very attractive, don't you think?

Ohh Susan, you are scaring me with that Shark Attack. Sorry for your losses. Sad I just got mine, remember. I hope I don't loose it. Was nervous about that anyway. It came from NC. From NC weather to IN weather...It is already showing new growth though, so that is encouraging!!

Susan:

Odd we both lost 'Shark Attack'. It's really my fault that I lot Shark Attack. I know better than to order new daylilies so late in the season. I don't usually succumb to the August sales on the LA, but last year I broke my own rules. Actually I received 5 plants in late August. 3 were replacement plants from Pete Harry. They all made it thru the Winter, thank goodness. The other one is 'Vertical Horizon' and that one is doing really well. But I am just sick about 'Shark Attack'. I will replace it.

Sorry to hear about your 'Barbara Mandrell' loss. Ouch. But wonderful that Michelle is replacing it for you as a gift plant. What a wonderful lady, Michelle is. You will love it. One of my garden favs. You will also love 'Buddy's Victoria Jade'. Prolific bloomer, deep Merlot color, and oh those pearly white teeth around the edge. Be careful, tho, this plant bites. Hilarious! Hilarious! Hilarious! Hilarious! Hilarious! Hilarious! Hilarious! Hilarious!

Thanks for the warning Alex! Hilarious! I saw this plant in the database and I am scared for sure! I love the prolific bloomers, they make my day. Thank you @tink3472!!
I am sick about all the daylilies I got from Marietta's but will not replace them, they were too expensive and I got daylilies that were just as nice for a forth of that. I ordered about 50 from the LA and 10 from Floyd Cove so these should find good homes, lots of empty holes and pots to go around. LOL.

Wahoo I came home to 4 boxes of daylilies today! I was only expecting 2 so it was a nice surprise. I received my plants from Nicole DeVito, Mike Holmes by way of Larry Grace, Clayhillgardens (LA) and Richard Norris of Ashwood Gardens.

@ James That's always nice! I got one box today. Not a lot in it but every Daylily counts!! Nice big fans though. "Fame" from Chocolatechiphorses on LA.
