Mary Ann. Thanks.Its not daylight yet and last nights temps were 50 so the 3 or 4 iris opening might not be ready.
I am hoping to see Brussles, Credentials, and some mystery ones in the front garden,might be Wench.

Jo Ann I love overnight iris bloom anticipation! March, April and Mat I am out before dawn. It becomes a habit for a little while and now I wake up, jump up and thin oh, no irises blooming, guess ill have coffee, no wait, irises on ATP. Thank you for sharing your blooms with all.

Should I admit that I get my binoculars out so I can check on new blooms each morning? That way I know I mark my bloom date list for a new bloom and know to grab my camera for shots before work. Get good beard shots with the morning sun too!

Oh Leslie, that is something we all do but most have not come out of the closet yet. Especially if it is drizzly and cold and you have a bit of a cold you just go from window to window...... and talk very loud.

yes, the flashlight and umbrella come in handy after dark and a friend emails that they have a bud on Trimmed Velvet and you gave her the iris. You have to grab your flashlight and head to your garden to see if there is at least the beginning of a bloom stalk you missed. ....such is life in an iris garden.

On the otherhand I have just binoculared the iris to see if Credentials is open. Its a hike to that area so I dont want to waste a trip.
I never leave the house without my camera.
