@RobertB I have not traded or sold a single cutting of my plumerias yet. All 6 tips of my Barbados Showgirl are new growth this year and 2 are not done blooming yet. I might have a couple cuttings next spring when the current year's growth is mature. I will let you know for sure.
Robert I saw this Confetti cuttings at at Florida Colors. they have other plummies too that I would love to have but I don't have room to store if we have a bad winter. http://www.floridacolors.com/C...
And if only I have room for more, Brad buds and Blooms have cuttings too: 98% of my plumerias came from them but I only bought them as rooted plants and seeds. http://www.floridacolors.com/C...
Yes James very expensive hobby but well worth it for me.
Hetty and I paid more for my Confetti plumerias but they are well worth it since they were rooted and bloomed the first year. the blooms are good size and huge clusters (see my current avatar) they smell good. They bloom every year for me...as Ken said, this is not one of those "constipated" plumerias.
Anyone interested in selling cuttings or trade? I have a lot of nice pink plumeria cuttings that rooted this year. My treas are 7 foot out of the top of the pot and tend to tump over in high wind! So I thinned them out. Good growth, healthy blooms, even have my second tree seeded this year... Send a tree message if interested in trades or to sell! Thank you!
Pictures: the punks are Leilani plumes from best I can tell. The white seems to be a Singapore... Any ideas? The smaller lighter pink is off a tree that seeded last year, so it was stressed out.
Lucasandrus! What part of the world are you growing your Plumeria?
Nice plants - but the white is not Singapore. Singapore has obtuse leaves.
It is probably not the best time of year to be trading, so if you don't get any takers, I suggest you post in the Classifieds forum in the early spring.
@DutchLady1 I am in Houston, TX. Home of the plumeria society. I have been told that the white is a Singapore, but I am only 7 yeas into it. I mentioned I had to chop up two of my plants due to the wind turning them over, so I have about 13 really healthy cuttings rooted (the red ones are suppose to be hard to root but have taken magnificently!) I am an accidental green thumb gardener!
Thanks for all of the nice compliments on the blooms!
I realized I was looking at the leaves in the background of your picture of the white plumeria. I am wondering if you could get a better picture of the plant by itself?
Great job on rooting the reds!
