Ursula, wonderful plant with such a lovely bloom.

Kathy, good luck with your Schick hybrids. Btw they benefit from the occasional Bayer's stuff too!

My Epiphyllum phyllanthus var ? ( collected in Hubu/Guyana) has been blooming a lot this Summer. I don't catch all blooms since they open up very late in the evening and they are always closed by morning. Since they are self-pollinating, I see already the nice fruits forming which will turn bright red when ripe.

The blooms always look a bit disheveled.

I really like these Schick hybrids, this pretty thing is Echinopsis Lorelei. Big blooms on a small plant!

Nice picks!
Why shouldn't they bloom? Mine didn't bloom right away, but once they were established I saw the first blooms appearing. Perhaps you have a small full sun Winter spot for them and basically forget about them. ( I direct a tiny spray say once a month in Winter over them). I start them up early in Spring outside with the Triple Bayer stuff, that works well. They can take the downpours in an otherwise hot and sunny Summer without a problem. They love it this year.
Have fun Kathy, I know we will see pictures soon.... Thumbs up
