Della: The hybridizing was most surely done by Peter Groot Nurseries or The Lily Company. and, most likely using the original 5 stock in the project.. The original Pearls are often referred to as a 'group' in hybridizing. The registry states the parentage IS known but not disclosed by the registrant. It lists (H) R. Griesbach. (N) Lily Company B.V., 2012. (REG) Lily Company B.V., 2012. I assume in this case that (H) R. Griesbach is meant to mean hybridizer of the Pearls as a group, i.e., Pearl Melanie derived from the Pearl group, etc.

I am now able to access the registry again.

Lily season is just barely underway here. My first martagon, first of all my lilies to open was 'Stargate' then I was visiting a greenhouse nearby when I saw a desperate potted lily in need of a home! It had been over wintered from the season before, and had 18 stems in a pot meant for one. Couldn't resist!

Very nice Tracey! I like that LA lily. I'm a sucker for green nectaries.

I tend to not be drawn to white generally. I do like the color of this one though Smiling . I don't want to give it a complex but speaking negatively about it. Hilarious! Clearly it needed to be added to my garden. For a moment I considered splitting it, but they seemed so happy together right now, I will wait for fall to tend to that.

Thanks. It has been a long wait to get these lilies blooming around here. Lost several coveted orientals with an incredibly harsh winter, even with good snow cover. Lots of holes in the garden that need to be filled now.

Sure I go and say I am not a fan of whites, but I should have said the exception to that rule is I just about love any martagon.

Wow, Green Goddess is new to me. I like. Crossover is getting another year here to impress me, and I wish I could find Netty's Pride!

I like the look of Plum Peach and Lady Elaine too. Nice range of pics. Must be lily heaven now up there were the sun is! We're less than a week away from the shortest day now and I'm dreaming of lilies!

Green Goddess, and Plum Peach for that matter, were from Buggy Crazy (Lisa H).
The cool thing about Green Goddess is that the amount of red visible on the blooms changes from year to year

A bit of history: Green Goddess is a Judith Freeman hybrid that crossed 'Rosepoint Lace' with 'Limerick' (an L. candidum hybrid) and then embryo rescue. It didn't last long for me.

My Green Goddess went in to the ground on 10-30-07, 1st bloom 6-6-08. Wow, that's like 7 years blooming. Conversely, I also received Plum Peach that year and put in a pot, it was a wonderful pot presentation, but to my dismay, it never returned after it's initial appearance.
Nettie's Pride came from Brent & Becky's in 2011.

It can be very difficult to tell some of these red and white OTs apart. The correct name is 'Beverly Dreams' and is fairly new, post 2009.
