Thank You! That is what I was guessing! I was noticing it as I was looking for what lilies to add. I think I want that one too, that will keep

my bed in bloom even longer! Big Grin

I love that last one. I have several Griesbach lilies. Haven't ever planted seeds though. Just ordered bulbs.

So many beauties! I could comment on every one.....

An upright trumpet seems so odd, just like an upfacing recurved lily. They just don't seem "right" to me. Blinking But, they are interesting. Big Grin

Øystein, it looks like the seed you received from John Lykkegaard is a mix of rosthornii/aurelian variations. To my eyes, only the one in the foreground has species characteristics. And even that one seems to be more L. henryi than L. rosthornii.

Love the first and last one best. It wasn't until the last one that I realised some of the intriguing flecking on the blooms in the other pics was due to little insects! Hilarious!

Sowing seeds can certainly give you a lot more options than the catalogs can. It's refreshing to see all of these lily seedlings. So much variety in there in flower colors ,shapes and forms and all shown in the garden. These are garden lilies! Lovely! Hurray!

Tracey, you just reminded me of something I forgot to post. About those Moon series Trumpets and the mix up--I found out the identity of this one. It's called Passion Moon and grown by the 'New' old Peter Groot company, 'The Lily Company'.

In the end, I had 2 Tropical Moons show up as well, so the end result is I now have 5 different Moon Series cultivars. Smiling

In this last picture, note the leaves turning a darker red. As Fall progresses, all the leaves and stem will turn a very dark red. Kind of pretty, actually.

I found this interesting character growing within a group of 'Sinfonia' which has been down for several years. The actual plant resembles Sinfonia in all respects but it blooms about 7 to 10 days later, the flowers are more trumpet shaped and noticeably larger than Sinfonia, the throat is lighter orange and it has dark pollen whereas Sinfonia's is tan colored. A couple other seedlings (Serena Green X George C. Creelman) Late blooming. I'm trying to figure out if these are so ugly, I see them as 'cute' or what. Anyway, I used some of this pollen on Whiskey Creek. Sometimes you have to get the ugly, before you get the pretty. We'll see what happens.
