Got a notice that my order from Country Delights is being shipped. I have never ordered from them before, but had to have Chocolate Ecstacy and they had it. Of course traveling companions were ordered too! Another cool day today, I have to dig some orders to ship. I have some weeding to do as well, and some planting. The grass has all but stopped growing now, so I don't have to mow as often. We need some rain now too, but this is more typical of July. Always dry.

Here, Tom, no duct tape needed. I designed this bumper sticker a few years ago for someone who worked for me. Have to click on it

A similar sign was hung outside the repair shop, in the old "Mutt and Jeff"comic strip. All you ever saw of the mechanic was his butt ! He was always bent over, under the hood of a car! Being a mechanic (retired, thank the Lord !), I relate to things like that Sticking tongue out ....Arlyn

If you have a helpful partner who breaks your stuff, buy extended warranties and say "That's so sweet of you, but if you work on (insert item) it will void the warranty."

I paid the extra $500 for an extended warranty on a new car once after a well meaning sweetheart blew the engine on a 62,000 mile car. It seems if one sets the timing wrong the oil cap hits the hood of the car, oil spurts everywhere and white smoke blasts out the tail pipe.

Thought you might like to see my seedling bed. Now that I finally have them in the beds. I though I could get them all in one row. Had to steal some space fromt he veggie garden for the last one. I was planning on making another row into the garden anyway for next year's seedling. Now I have to go draw a map in case I loose some markers.

Looks good, Tom ! Thumbs up ............Stealing from the veggie garden is an accepted practice among iris fanatics,,,,,,,as is reducing lawn area.............but when you hang grow lights in the bathroom, and fill the tub with potting soil.................you have gone TOO far !..........Arlyn

Hilarious! Arlyn! But taking over the guest bedroom is still considered acceptable right? Hilarious!

Nice beds Tom. How many seedlings are planted? (Boy do I miss that lovely soil they have in the Midwest!).

I have 142 babies. Boy, I don't think I could do the thousands that some of the big guys do, but I'm sure they hire help to plant them all. Now I wonder how many will survive.

Tom - interesting to see your rows of babies. Just so I understand, these are from the
mother plant? If the mother has just produced one baby, do you take that? Or do you leave a
baby with the mother?

Or - I might have misunderstood - are these from seed?
