Hi all! Been loving each and every one of your great pictures!
I was out in the garden yesterday morning...Came in to take a shower, and to my surprise I looked out the window, and these little guys were headed to the garden where i had been working. I wonder if they'd been watching me the whole time, just waiting for me to go inside! Not the best quality pic...Taken through the window, and screen.

I believe he/she is a juvie Black-crowned Night Heron.

And another...Mom has been nesting in my neighbors live oak tree for the past 5 years now.

Editing to add that now as I'm looking at them a little closer...Maybe it's the Yellow-crowned Night Heron...They do appear similar. Anyone have a guess?

Tara: Oh my, what a cutie! It does look to be a juvenile Yellow-crowned Night Heron! How neat to have them so close by!
