Never seen a coleus I didn't like.
Thank you all! 55 years old! I can't believe it, still feel like 15 inside :)))

DH gave me a fabulous copper 'Coleus mama' sculpture from Uniquetreasures as a present, I'll show photos of it later. Here are Janets impressive articles about this sculpture in making:

Pheadra - what? we are not friends anymore on FB? Why....something must have gone wrong, I have not deleted you. I'll contact you there asap so we can team up again.
The kitties are doing fine, they love to sleep in the sunny spots (light thru windows) on the floor inside.

Ding... Ding... Ding!!!! Wooohooo! Happy Birthday, Alice!!! I do hope it was a fabulous day for you! A few months ago I was keeping up with your Coleus Mama sculpture but haven't been online in what seems like forever. I'll have to look again. Happy Belated Birthday!

I might actually be seeing a small flickering light at the end of a very l-o-n-g tunnel! Every single day I am so very tired that I do not even look at the computer, much less want to see a computer. It seems that I work from the time I get out of bed until I fall back into it again at night. And poor Allan, he is going to work and then working when he gets off work. I am sure he's ready for all of this to be over. But through all of this... I have learned that we just do NOT need to keep so much chit!!!!!!! What was I even thinking? When I find all this stuff that I thought I had to keep, I wonder why I even wanted it in the first place! I seriously need an intervention when it comes to stuff!!!!

Chase planned a house warming party for us on July 3rd (I will feel so fortunate if I'm ready by then) so that has been a major pain trying to juggle getting things ready here and also trying to get the old house painted, carpeted, cleaned and all that other stuff that needs to be done before we can put it on the market to sell. (We were hoping to have it ready by July 1st, so keep your fingers X'd for us) And we shoved so much stuff into the garage at the old house that you can't even move around out there. Allan swears that we need all that stuff and I swear that we DO NOT need it! I do not even care who wins this fight... All I want it to be able to play again. LOL (I've managed to plant maybe 10 coleus so far)

My MIL was here for almost a week and it was a really good time had by all. Can you believe it???? I am so thankful too that things went so well. She was more than shocked when I opened the front door (to a house that she thought my friend lived at) and said WELCOME TO OUR NEW HOME~~~~ I think she needed that glass of champagne that I handed her. LOL

I've not even read anything. I will try to catch up on ready tomorrow. But I did see that my dear sweet tobee is back in full action!!!!! Wooohooo!!! You know I love ya tobee!!! Welcome home, girlfriend!!! And how the hell did you move all the way to Florida when I can barely move 15 miles across town????

My MIL was feeling very generous when she was here. Even though this is a really bad pic as my camera does NOT want to capture real color or make decent pics anymore (I'm thinking a little boy has had it in his hands one too many times), here's a pic of a beautiful formal dining room that my MIL gave us as a housewarming gift!

Love to all....

I let my Dave's subscription expire and am cutting way back on all my hobbies. Too much work right now and no time to relax a little. Anyway my Water well went out Friday and it is for now too expensive to but back in. So they will have to survive the Oklahoma sun.

Oh, Ted I really feel for your plants. I was subjected to similar conditions until the age of 17.
Best of luck.
I have been working on getting my coleus in the ground. I know, but I get growing weather until Nov. 15th or later.
Got a new puppy, white male poodle that's housebroken, and sweet with Henry. The new fellow is Harry..
Harry was abandoned when his owners moved out of an apt and left him. I had no idea what his name was, but turns his head for rrrrs, so Harry it is.
Am pretty sure he's neutered as he doesn't mark every minute, and he's chunky. Harry has yet to mark anything in the house period.
Henry's not so good about those things.
I gave him a major haircut, but this is how he looked when I got him.

He has a sweet face and loves Henry.

cute doggy!
Speak a little softer
And work a little louder
Shoot less with more care
And sing a little sweeter
And love a little longer
And soon you will be there.

Sidney, he's so cute.

Good luck with your plants, Ted.
Though I've only been growing coleus for a couple of years, they never cease to amaze me with how tough they can be. We just returned last night from a week long Michigan vacation. My friend watered all my pots for me while we were gone. I think some were actually over watered, and lost some leaves, but they look like they'll be fine. She said she didn't water the stuff in the ground unless it wilted a lot, but most everything looks like it will be OK. Temps were in the 80s and 90s and we've had no rain in 2 weeks.

It's 90° now with a heat index of 92, and temp isn't at peak for the day yet. This heat and humidity are oppressive, too hot to do anything outside now. My plants all need weeded, pinched, deadheaded... but it's not gonna happen in this heat. I loved the weather in Michigan- cooler with no humidity! (I just couldn't take those winters...)
