The rain came and went fast here, and the temp dropped about 10 degrees. I have lots of plants to get in the ground, and the weird weather isn't helping at all. I am glad that it is cool though, since I hate planting when it is hot. Not good for me or the plants.

83 degrees here with 48% humidity. Tolerable for weeding my perennial garden this afternoon with a sunhat on. It's getting hot folks!!

I also heard about that 5.2 earthquake on CNN. Nothing to sneeze at. Would certainly shake the china in your grandmother's china chest.

Most of my plants are hating this cool weather, most are sitting there sulking, but today I found scapes on a few seedlings and a couple of daylilies that haven't bloomed in about 3 years, so go figure.

It was fairly comfortable this morning when we went out to do some last minute things before packing up to go back to AR. However, we just got our afternoon rain shower and the sun is out so it will be a steam bath if we go out now. I'm glad we finished early.

Last 2 days have been pleasant with gentle breezes, sunny, and hit and miss showers. Today it is a little warmer and more humid.

Yes, Cynthia we did get an earthquake. DH and I were lying in bed watching TV Saturday night when the wall behind our bed sounded like someone was pounding on it. That only happens when a door is shut somewhere else in the house . It is a sensitive wall. Well no one was in the rest of the house. I looked every where wondering if we had an intruder. DH was half asleep. After finding no intrusions I told him half jokingly that maybe we had, had an earthquake.! Found out the next day we had ! It was on the Arizona/ New Mexico border and did no real damage. They said they were not aware of a fault in that area.

81 degrees here, humidity 64%. Overcast this morning, but hot, sunny, and humidity going up. Tomorrow 88 dgrs. Planted some more seedlings around my little Memorial Garden for 'Spirit', and later this afternoon added another row of 'bush beans' to the veggie garden. I am pooped, hot, dirty, and headed for the shower. All in all, a productive day.

Sounds kind of unpleasant at your house too, Alex. Spirit's memorial garden is going to look beautiful. We haven't decided where to "plant" Maggie's ashes yet, but no hurry on that. I'm still deciding what all to plant for her memorial garden. Debra sent an iris to include, but I can't decide on everything else. That will need to wait until it is much cooler here anyway, so I have plenty of time to decide.
