I guess you have a point there, Debra. I was trying to be nicer then I really feel right now.

Put Florida weave on my pepper plants and gave them some liquid fertilizer. I have many, many small peppers and lots of blossoms.

Also have some cucumbers set. And one asian eggplant just about ready to pick. But what I can make out of such a small eggplant, I don't know. Guess it will be a side dish for something. Have more tomatoes getting ripe which is very good. Love my fresh garden tomatoes.

A beautiful looking day. But 48 degrees - brrrrrrr. I would not have got out of bed but for the cats insisting on being fed.
More mulching to do today. Lots of flopping yesterday with the fans.

I have to be ready with the camera in the coming weeks - mass flowering will start on the natives as day length increases.

Grilling outdoors on fourth of July........ sounds like torture where Linda lives! Heck, I don't ever want to do it here & can't imagine why so many wish to. Toooooooo hot to be adding fire to the equation. I'd rather relax inside in the A/C with a mint julep & a nice fresh, chilled fruit salad topped with raspberry sorbet.

Well, that sounds great but grilling is just such an American pastime. Especially on American holiday like 4th of July.

I grill all year. I'd rather cook on the grill in the summer than turn on the stove. Veggies usually get cooked in foil packets, and meat for Mark goes right next to that. Works great.

It's kind of chilly tonight. Looks like it is going to rain some more, which would be nice.

Lots of sun, highs in the 90s and some good drenching thunderstorms. All plants are doing well but one Daylily is really a standout: Someone gave me a tiny piece of Daylily called "big kiss" and I planted it next to some other Daylilies. Don't think it bloomed much the first year but now somehow it took over that Daylily patch and it sure is big, tallest Daylily I own and a huge double flower.

Sunny and 81 predicted today. Perfect for my daughter's wedding today. Didn't sleep much. I guess I am more excited than the bride.

It is winter and I just thought I'd look to see if any rain was about. I press Brisbane weather below and there is this whole line of thunderstorms heading my way. It is 9.15pm! There must be someone to complain to about this sort of thing.

You can complain to us all you want, Glen. Be about as effective as complaining anywhere else, but at least you'll feel a little better having sympathizers.
