That's just great, Sharon. Hurray! I hope the flower(s) is beautiful and long-lasting. I think I have a single one of these left. I need to go out and check on it.

No such luck for me. My plant has four new leads but no sign of a sheath yet. Perhaps mine will "pop" soon though. Thumbs up

When I went out to check, I thought to myself the same thing. Whistling Of course I am joking. I have about 600 chances to see some orchid bloom in any given month. Thumbs up

The correct name now is Rlc. Haiku Elf (C. Mini Purple x Rlc. Memoria Crispin Rosales), and this is the picture of 'Maxy Purple' I couldn't find a 'Mini Purple'.

Here is a picture of mine in bloom, Jim. My label from Exotic Orchids of Maui says "Mini", so I don't know.

As for as my Lawless romeo and juliet/ (a cattleya hybrid) goes how many foot candles lumens would I need to see it bloom. I have a grow light that says it puts out about 5000 lumens but not much sun from a window else wise, house in the way, ect.

Alex, I am sorry but I simply don't know. Though I use powerful, 6-tube x 4 ft., T-5HO fixtures in my greenhouses, those only supply supplemental light. They each produce approximately 30,000 lumens. I have six of those fixtures and still use two, T-5 fixtures. I will more than likely replace those last two T-5's with T-5HO's this fall.

Clonal names are not listed in OrchidWiz unless you can find them in the awards list or perhaps the picture list. So, just because I cannot find it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. The 'Maxi Purple' was one of the images shown for this orchid.

Alex, this is the best I can do on culture: Rlc. Lawless Romeo is composed of species of which 96% take high light and 21% take medium light. Grow this hybrid in bright indirect light conditions. Rlc. Lawless Romeo is composed of species of which 98% take warm temperatures, 67% take hot temperatures and 24% take cool temperatures. Grow this hybrid in warm to hot conditions, or 66°F to 85°F at night. The correct name is Rlc. Lawless Romeo 'Juliet' (Rlc. Toshie Aoki x Rlc. American Heritage).
