I've posted this before but had to again since it was blooming today Lovey dubby

This is Kim's and will be registered in a couple of years if it keeps up the good stats. The rebloom scape is awesome and doesn't flop and it sets pods.

I hope to register this one next year as Gypsy Cats if I have enough fans. It has a 7.5 inch bloom on 29 inch scapes with 24-28 buds and 4-5 way branching. The parents are the Trimmer seedling "Laughing Hyena" and Back Scratcher. I'm not sure if it's a dormant or a semievergreen. The first two winters I was sure it was dormant since it died back totally early in December. Last year it acted more like a semievergreen. I need to check for resting buds this winter.

I'll always keep this one in the garden, even if it doesn't develop enough buds to register: Shores of Time X Rosy Rhino. The deep rose pink color carries a long way and makes the blooms stand out in the seedling bed.

Outstanding seedlings Kim and Debra.

I have been looking at this for almost four years and have six or seven clumps, I made the decision yesterday to destroy it after watching it rebloom it's last time. It never got better than top branching with 8-10 buds.

Sorry to hear HB25 never got beyond top branching. I remember commenting on it, or possibly a similar seedling you posted, about how I liked the color bleeding between the eye and edge. If you ever decide you no longer want the second Black Sheep seedling from yesterday ....I may just have to sit up and beg for a piece of that one Thumbs up

That's a great looking seedling, Sandi! And I do love that color combination.

And Fred, are those two seedlings you mentioned destroying too awful to offer up on the Lily Auction? The flowers are gorgeous, and even if you mention the problems I'll bet there are a few who might still bid on them... like me on that Emerald Starburst seedling... nodding

I agree with Betty!

Sandy - I really like your orange blooming seedling! I think it is very unusual and beautiful .... and I am not big on "orange" blooms, but that one I really like!

Most odd, I now have another seedling sowed on 11/17/2013 also showing a scape and buds. What's odd is that out of the entire raised bed of Fall/Winter sowed seedlings (which is over 100 seedlings), this one is right next to the other seedling that I posted about in the June Seedling thread. Perhaps I fertilized better in that area than the rest of the raised bed? Confused

This seedling showing a scape is another of Sandi's seeds. It is "Infinite Blue x Unknown":

Thumb of 2014-07-02/beckygardener/87c480

I am amazed that seeds sowed as late as November are going to bloom for me this year! I didn't even know that was possible. And I do remember that it took about 2 weeks after I sowed them to show germination. So that would put it near the end of November. We're talking about 7 months from seed to scape/buds! I'm pretty excited to see blooms so soon!

Here is a photo of a second year seedling blooming for the 1st time. (Unknown parentage.) This first bloom is a polymerous:

Thumb of 2014-07-02/beckygardener/2dba54

Another photo of 2 blooms (with another behind them), opened today on this unknown parentage seedling:

Thumb of 2014-07-02/beckygardener/12d482

All these unknown seedlings happened as a result of some wildlife that made a mess of my seedling bed last year. Raccoons, armadillo, and possum must have been digging for grubs or something and all the markers were destroyed, moved, or missing. So these are all unknowns that have blooms currently.

Thanks for the comments on my orange seedling! It does have a commanding presence at 39" tall and and 8" bloom. I'm not sure if the branching is desirable, or not, but I guess a large clump of this could be appealing Guess I'm liking them tall lately!

Becky, VERY thrilled to read that some of the seeds I sent you last year will bloom this year! How very exciting. You need to post pictures, just gotta see them!

Yes it is very possible to get bloom in 7 months. Fred's bloom anywhere from 7-9 months from seed to scape. We generally do here as well but we get colder than Fred so our season is behind his so it takes a tad bit longer to see blooms.
