First bloom on Chicago Apache today. Smiling Most impressive as a clump, that's just days away. 2nd is a freebie noid that is terribly difficult to capture with the camera, this is as close as it gets. I kinda like it, it adds a nice contrast to clumps of Ruby Stella.

That's pretty cool. So Lovely is a "prolific" Sticking tongue out prolif producer for me as well!

I wasn't impressed with the first blooms as I'd purchased mine as something else (red) but it grew on me.

The image of Cimarron Rose reminded me to check the clump that came a few weeks ago and sure enough there are scapes! Very happy I will get to see it bloom this year.
Betty, you sure grow some beauties and the row of So Lovely from prolifs, amazing. With the late growth of scapes and the short growing season prolifs are difficult to keep here. Either they need to be potted and over wintered inside or you plant them next to the parent plant and wish them the best as you are cleaning the beds for winter.

Second cultivar to bloom, Itsy Bitsy Spider, finally ffo'd today. Hurray! This one normally ffo's 6/23 - 6/29.

I sure do like that miniature Broadway Elf. Have been looking for it for awhile now (avoiding the rust belt). Indian Sky is an old one that still struts it's stuff, and I also like Police and Thieves. Every one is nice but these are my favorites on this page so far..........Maryl

This thread is like a breath of fresh air! So many lovely bloom photos!

Susan - I love the Glorious Autumn bloom photo! What a beauty! The color reminds me of one my rose bush blooms.

Avedon - Love the So Lovely proliferations row! Amazing! I can see why growing one cultivar to such a size and border would be so advantageous! Very, very nice! Lovey dubby

Ashton and Terry--your NOID reminds me of our Sunday Gloves. Are the anthers black? SG has black anthers which makes it kind of distinctive to me And, if it doesn't have proliferations, I would say definitely not So Lovely, for everyone of our plants makes at least one prolif and usually more. Thanks, everybody. for your comments, you are all so kind.

There is a lot to digest on this page. Just gorgeous blooms everyone. Hurray! Hurray! Hurray!

My favs. are 'Metaphysical Moment' (Gerry), 'Feliz Navidad' (Betty); 'Cosmic Kaliedoscope'(Susan); 'So Lovely' from prolifs, wow! (Avedon), 'Itsy Bitsy Spider' Char; and 'Half Moon Key' (Amy).

Char....Happy to see you finally posting pix from your garden. Yep, it's like living through a 'slow motion time warp' with the bloom season this summer in Vermont. It seems that 'Mother Nature' has her own calendar for us this summer. 2 week delay!!
