Frustrating photo day because of the blistering sun. Went out @ 6:15 and nothing much was fully opened. By 7:30 the sun was wicked and I had to leave for a few hours. There are 10 blooms of Lotus Position that opened perfect. Etheral Ice has 6 blooms and is becoming a favorite. Sunny Intervals has me shaking my head because 9 days ago it was just scaping and then shot up like a NASA launch @ 40" and bloomed. Atomic Glow is the best it's ever looked, and the short scape got cut. So all I have to offer today is Cletus Clatterback. I like the black backed anthers and 3 scapes have 5 way branching. The 4th scape has 4 way. Also very sturdy scapes.




Edited to add ffoe on Jolly Uncle Jelly. This is a very short prebloom scape with a small sized bloom but I love the self color.

Very pretty yellow! Sounds like a nice one to have with that branching:)

When I'm out in the heat deadheading this time of the year, I have to wonder what's wrong with me, but I'll be sad in a few weeks when most are done.

After dividing and selling some daylilies a few years ago, I found a tiny broken fan on the ground and planted it without knowing it's ID. Bloomed this year and it's Dragon Eye. Fun to see it again.
