I'm bummed, I missed two perfectly good days to wear sandals to work and didn't. So stuffy and hot in my building.
Plant it and they will come.

It has been so warm that it's hard to imagine that we will get snow tonight. Grumbling

Snow! Oh, how I'm hoping for snow tonight! All this cold rain we've had is just yukky. Snow is beautiful! A "snow day" holiday from school would go down well, too.

I know, easy for me to say since we don't have to drive to work. But look at the forecast -- it's going to warm up again on Saturday, so we don't even have to shovel, just wait for it to melt.

Glad you're planning a trip up! Hope you can drive on non-weathery days.

No. Snow. Here. At. All. Just cold rain. blech.

But there must have been something somewhere in the county, as we're enjoying a relaxed morning (2 hour delay).

There were a LOT of three hour delays posted to WBAL Radio Baltimore. Ha ha. For predicted less than an inch and after two days of highs over 70 degrees and sunny. I think the schools just wanted to have a delay for the fun of it and keep everybody in practice. Whistling
Plant it and they will come.

Getting hit hard here with the snow on Long Island. Plus the temps are really again dropping.

Yesterday was sunny, mild and glorious out. Felt like spring. Today a snowy nasty mess.

Rita, they were predicting snow in the DC area too but it was a bit too warm so just a lot of rain. Heard on the news that Philly and points north were cold enough that the precipitation was snow though. Stay safe and warm!

Whoa, blustery winds. Knocking over planters, garden boxes, garden follies.
Invigorating.

I can't believe I was outside in shorts on Tuesday and Wednesday and we had a short but blustery snow storm this afternoon!
It was crazy - There were blue skies to the north, but snow was falling from dark grey clouds to the south.
There wasn't any accumulation, though.

We got 14 inches of snow and today it is sunny but cold outside. Lots of snow cleanup going on around our area.

We watched the PBS TV show on 'The Blizzard of 1949' last night. Several blizzards in a row and winds that created drifts 30 feet high across several states. Easy (foolish!) to forget or ignore the power of weather. Hope all are safe and well on both coasts.

Stay warm, Rita! We have got a total of 1 inch this entire winter. At least there has been quite a lot of rain. Otherwise we would have a pretty dry spring this year.

As I understand it, we are supposed to get some heavier winds tonight. I already grabbed the pillows off our front porch and various other items. Does seem like it has been windier than normal. At least we haven't had a major snowstorm yet. I might have just jinxed us.
I truly hope it doesn't damage my little cluster of plants I have under cover in my garden. Here's a picture of how far it's come this winter.

It has leaf lettuces, spinach, carrots and onions. Had a box that had a cover so I added the spun cloth inside and covered the whole thing with 6ml garden plastic I had laying around. An experiment that has gone much better than I anticipated!
