Hiya, Beth! I started out as a shade gardener - mostly perennials and shrubs. Am branching out in veggies - little sun space so some veg in pots. Yes! Blues and purples and some lemon yellow and chartreuse. Branching out in other colors though.

Hi Beth. I'm Mike. I'm in Ohio too, about an hour south of Columbus.
This is my second year with a garden, and I'm still kind of new here too.
I hope you like it here and get plenty of rain next year.

Same here. My grandpa, and my older friend Neil are the ones that always had gardens. My grandpa died a few years ago, and Neil lives maybe 50 miles from here, and I don't have a car. So this is nice. Nice people here too.

Hello everyone! I wish I had known about this forum before I had to move from Illinois…would have been helpful.

I'm a pretty hands-off, urban gardener. I have a Garden Tower 2 with a small worm colony, and tend to grow seeds from whatever I cook/eat. I've always grown up with some kind of edible growing, usually tomatoes, though also bell peppers, strawberries, and other easy plants.

I'm currently in Chicago, but will be moving soon to the west coast, hence my coming here to see if I can find other gardeners who would like to give my GT2 a new home.

Looking forward to chatting with you Smiling

Welcome, Isaiah! I'm afraid I'm no help with finding your garden a new home either.

I hope you will be able to have a garden in California! Maybe even better since the weather will be warmer. I have always envied the California sunshine Smiling

What adorable chickens you have, @Midwestbeth! I was born in the midwest but now live in New Mexico. I used to have chickens, and plan to have more as soon as we can get a coop and run ready for them. They can't free range around here because we have too many raptors around daily.

Hello from Indiana! I have been growing veggies and herbs for 4 years! A small urban kitchen garden! I always throw a new herb in there just to see if I can grow it! I have my staples: green beans, tomatoes, hot and sweet peppers, zucchini, onions, and strawberries. Herbs include: cilantro, parsley, rosemary, thyme, and oregano. I hope to add chamomile and lavender very soon. Wish I would have found this site a few years ago! Thank You!
