How darling Debra! Lovey dubby Lovey dubby Lovey dubby Lovey dubby Are her eyes actually sort of blue??????

We do find we need the heater on for a couple hours in the morning until we eat breakfast but then the rest of the day & night it's off. Makes up a little bit for the summer electric bills. And then there will be the {{{{{shivering}}}} cold electric bills to come.

Is the warmer cheap? Do you have to feed it a lot? Could be a good idea.
The problem is that when you are young your life it is ruined by your parents. When you are older it is ruined by your children.

A small warmer doesn't eat much more than a kitty. Mine gets 1/2 cup of food twice a day & a few kibbles here & there for treats.

LOL! Sticking tongue out

My back warmer was free, eats like a horse, and refuses to warm my back now that he realizes I was using him! Big Grin

Seriously though, compared to my ritual of heating pad and ice packs, 20lb. purring cat was the best therapy I've ever had for my lower back.

Sighing!

Oh yeah, the weather? Last good day for some time to come here according to the news. Insomnia led to digging cannas in the wee hours and clearing the porches of pots. For the rest of the day some light pruning, lawn mowing, and removal of zinnias and tomato vines. Beautiful, sunny day though and at least the electric back warmer can be trusted.

And if the neighbors saw you out digging in the wee hours of the morning, I bet all kinds of thoughts went through their heads. Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing

Yeah...LOL. Actually I think my mom's city neighbors are used to me. Within the 4 closest houses, 14 dogs. It's peaceful at night. I believe my rural neighbors are the ones who really think I'm a nut. They're not "garden people", their landscape consists of a colored bottle tree and a miniature dirt track for expensive remote controlled toys (complete with mini grandstand, seems to be very popular too). I just shake my head, they do the same when I'm out shooting pictures of blooms. Different interests... Green Grin!

Beautiful day yesterday. I was even comfortable with just a sweater on and not a coat. Put my garden bench away, spread a little bit more mulch, winterized my potted daylilies and froze 3 bags of kale from the garden. It is going to be nice again today up until around 3pm when rain is moving in. Plan on freezing more kale today.

Cold front finally hit here. Glad I got a few things done outside yesterday. I will stay indoors today. It must only be in the 40's out right now. Flurries predicted for tomorrow.
