Hi, first post here Smiling

I live in tropical area where summer is everyday... So with 365 days growing time, I have no problem to force my A reblooming again. But I have to use refrigerator to dormant them because the weather is too hot & humid

Hi Tarev, thank you for the warm greeting.

Not so many A choices here. I really want to order it from royal colors or from other sites. But almost impossible to get A's bulb from overseas because of the customs.... Grumbling . Only small amount of seeds, but 50:50 chance Crying

Here what blooms today

Ohh! Love your blooms! So you are in Bali, Indonesia? Neighboring country to my old homeland! Lovey dubby

You are lucky to have those blooms! I have none at this time of the year, just too awfully dry in my area. But I am still trying, hoping it is just deciding to gather energy for next Spring.

My neighbour? Where? Malaysia, Singapore, Phillipines, PN, Australia?

It's also dry season here. 37°C day, 25 at night. That's why I hv to use refrigerator. And the heat makes the bloom only lasts 3 - 7 days max Sad

I started to plant A last year. After blooming, I let the leaves for 4-5 months, then I cut them all, remove the soil, put in frige, peek the bulb every other week until the scape comes up (that's the local seller told me, so I can bloom them twice a year)

Just wish to have beautiful A just like many people show here. Ordering seeds 3 times, just 1 arrived safely. So I guess 3 years then....

My homeland is the Philippines Big Grin Ah, so dry season in your area...Phils is rainy season right now, though it is not as intense like before, they do have the usual monsoon rains, but thankfully this year's stronger typhoons are veering away so far. Fingers crossed for them, the stronger typhoons shows up in Sept to Nov.

I only get my amaryllis blooms usually in mid Spring to early Summer, even that is hit and miss at times, after that just leaves. I find them quite thirsty here, simply because our humidity is extremely low.

I started planting amaryllis one christmas season, since I see a lot of the bulbs on sale in Nov. It was fun getting them to bloom but it is the after season and forward that is dicey..still a fun plant to grow, very showy and pretty. Smiling

Rainy season comes late this year here, usually this time light rain starts to show. But the prediction says it will come late around Nov/ early Dec.

Now it's the normal time for A to bloom, like this

Some will bloom again in March - April
