Julia, the place I get it is here in Albany, between me and Garlands. They sell straight loam but I use the 50-50 mix, which is half loam and half regular planting mix. I take a 15 gal tub, which is then too heavy for me to get out of my car, so I use my car like a potting bench. Rolling on the floor laughing

Do I need to bring a space heater? Sounds like I should hurry up and finish knitting my face mask -- and here I thought I'd be going someplace WARM! Sighing! MR

Bring thermal underwear if you tend to get cold MR. Layer, layer and layer some more is my motto. Hopefully the weekend of the clinic will be one of our sunny spring periods. Hurray!

April here in OR tends to be rainy but not cold although it was on the cold side on that Saturday this year, Friday was lovely. Because May 6th was a bad day for Cynda and Dave I had to move the date of the clinic up a bit too. You will see different plants blooming in my garden this year than last. There still should be good daffodil bloom and maybe bloom on the pulmonarias and dwarf irises.

Am glad the clinic isn't TODAY as it is REALLY pouring. In OR we generally have MIST. Not so today but we are in such a drought I'm sort of rejoicing in the rain.

You are right, it was just the one day when the cold wind was blowing and the rain was pouring down.
It did not stop most of the ducks (one even barefoot) from splashing around looking at all Kevin's many treasures, but since I was not prepared for it and not acclimated to damp weather.

Since we are usually below 50 pc humitity, sometimes single digits we get used to the dry ....... Rolling on the floor laughing

We get about 2 inches of precipitation in the form of SNOW in April as it is one of our two snowiest months. I think you get about 2.75 in April usually in full rain., as your temps 20 degrees warmer there in April than here.

There is a reason it is so green out there.

If there is a decision to visit Dancing Oaks there is a fantastic view of a large swath of the Willamette Valley, best seen coming back down the hill where D.O. is located. And in April the valley will be very green!

3 days? Wow. Afraid one is the best I'll be able to do, even if!

At that point we'll have 5 little ones running around. Well, two probably won't be running... but, you know, rolling around doing baby stuff Smiling .

Then you must choose the day of the clinic ofm. We will all have things to share with you, plus all gather for the tour of Kevin's gardens, teaching and amazing early dinner at Robert's Crossing.
Can you get a baby sitter for that one day? Hurray!

We have 3 right now and yes twins on the way in the next month or so. Big family, Group hug little house!
No family in the state (yes, we're transplants! Sticking tongue out ) so no babysitters other than us either. I think I can swing the day (putting it in the calendar so I remember...), but won't know until closer.

OFM I have trouble taking care of myself so don't know how you handle this troop! Gardening is a great escape though! Several of my mentors used the garden and hybridizing to keep them mentally engaged while rearing the kids.

Heh, yeah that's kinda where I've been at so far (except for the quiet! What's that? Rolling on the floor laughing )...squeeze in an hour outside with the kids after work and before I make dinner in the summer... I'd just kinda trundle around weeding or planting and unwind. Now that it's dark when I leave and dark when I get home...not so much! Hilarious!

You're a good mom! I tip my hat to you. I read someplace that the "average" parent today spends 10 minutes a week of "quality time" (non-tv) with their kids... Crying
