I don't remember for sure -- it was for children living at home as I recall, whatever the age. (Wish I weren't quite so good at remembering things like that when I'm so good at forgetting sources and authors...) It was in a magazine article, that I do remember, by someone who was a sociology research person.

Aww thanks...however... I'm afraid my plumbing prevents from being much of a mother at all Rolling on the floor laughing . Proud father of (as of last week Big Grin ) 5!

10 minutes? That's crazy! Even with 3 kids (we'll see how it goes for 5, trying to leave space for the others while the babies absorb huge blocks of it is an interesting exercise) I'd like to think we manage much more time than that individually, and then there's group stuff like reading or storytelling time every night before bed. I admit, it's tough to find the time...but our house is so small we don't have much choice Sticking tongue out .

OFM congrats!! I also assumed you were a woman, but somehow had the feeling you were not an 8.5 months pregnant woman (when you posted something about it a while ago)
Best to you and your family! Twins seem so exciting!! Hurray! Hurray!
Cheers

Sorry, Dad -- and congratulations also for understanding you have a hand in producing and raising your kids! Even in our enlightened times, it's amazing how many pregnancies seem to be of the cabbage leaf variety... Spending time in a garden with your children has to be about the best in quality time. Go with God! MR

OFM,

Well I hope you can escape for the clinic. It sounds as though you could use an afternoon away from the crowd although your wife might demand equal time.

We need young people doing breeding as many of us are getting OLD. I've been doing it for 50 years!

I'm going to do my best...I'm glad you guys plan these things so far in advance.
I tend to get a bit obsessive over my hobbies, so who knows where this one will wind up. The breeding part is fascinating, but I don't see myself having the time for the more meticulous aspects for a while...but who knows Smiling .

That would be really, really cool. We'll see, I've got some ideal for a yard re-structuring next spring that might give me the necessary space. And maybe one or more of the boys will get interested as well.

OFM,

My mother has described me as "Kevin doesn't have hobbies, he has OTHER JOBS" so I definitely understand OBSESSIVE! Welcome to the club. It really is the extreme types that seem to be into the crossing.

When you come to the clinic, you'll see some of my other obsessions too.

I have not. But I see the list of nurseries, and I will definitely be wanting to go to this plant sale.
That means we would have to do Dancing Oaks, or any other local nurseries on Friday, before the Clinic day.
