stuff in bloom today -
A first flowering for me on this Blc Victoria 'Blue Bird', picked out at our Ecuagenera visit to their greenhouses. It produced two nice spikes this year.
Trying out different backgrounds while I was waiting for better light-
Pretty blooms, Jim! I am always fond of cute Spotties!
We took a ride out to our Pennsy place, paid a visit to the III Pond Winery down the road from our place to stock up on Wines for the season.
We saw several Deer jumping out right in front of our place, the hunters should be happy! The temperatures barely made it above 40 degr. but we had a picnic by the pond anyway. Now back home and warm!

Lovelies, Jim. I've been out on the water all day, so need something to keep me awake.
Brr. 40 is pretty chilly to have a picnic, Ursula. We thought it was cold today when it clouded over and the temp dropped below 70. Pouring rain now, so we have to hope it clears for more sailboat racing tomorrow.

This noid Ascocentrum was ready to be posted today, and it is not miniatum. ( A few years ago I was on a quest to find true Asctm miniatum and wound up with a couple of pretty Ascocentrums, but not miniatum.) Yes, I know, Vanda.....
And this mounted Aerangis biloba starts blooming.
This Blc Goldenzelle 'Lemon Chiffon' opens another spike.

That small orange . . y'know . . Vanda . . is a lovely cheerful color for fall. I'm sure I voted for some pictures by each of you two, Jim and Ursula. Recognized your pictures by the backgrounds.

Lovely show, Ursula. That's a beautiful Vanda with great color. The Goldenzelle has to be a Krull/Smith creation with that form and color. They are in Apopka and we visit them every time we go there. Jim Krull is a hoot.
I've spent most of the weekend cleaning windows and sanitizing the OC. The Master Gardeners are coming here on the 20th followed by the Orchid Club on the 25th so I'm preparing as best I can. I'm taking the opportunity to look over each plant and I have found lots of scale on the Catts. It is a good thing I am catching it early before it does much damage. At the rate I'm going, it will take 5 days to complete the job.
