This is the official mystery plant on my place. I've tried to ID it for years...and still haven't got a clue. In late summer or in fall it has all these little white flowers.

Linda I don't know it off the bat, but I will check around and see, although if you don't recognize it I am sure it will be hard. Smiling

Linda, you might post it on the Plant ID forum also. It's really lovely, delicate looking.

It's a Hill Country plant, I assume...have only seen it in my area and certain other hilly areas. I love plants that thrive in caliche and limestone! It's been frustrating not even being able to guess it's family. Josephine, the rains were too late for the Frostweed to make a comeback. Except in my yard. One I'd watered enough to get it to bloom quite a while ago. Now another of my yard Frostweed plants is starting. But the Frostweed plants by the creek...the damage to those plants is severe.

Oh...didn't take a pic, but some of the surviving Sweet Everlasting on the property are actually going to bloom!

Yes, the Frostweed in the wild hasn't done very well here either.

Part of the plants by the creek survived, but they're pathetically small and won't be blooming anytime soon. Maybe next year...if the drought doesn't knock them back again! Crossing my fingers for a better year!

I did read it and gave it a thumbs up! I remembered reading it before too. 'On here Cubits? Beautiful photos. Love the front yard transformation. I think a lot of us will be using it as a tutorial after the great summer drought of 2011.
