Yes, I used to live on that part of the island. I only visited that nursery once, though. It's an amazing place, well worth the trip.

I have been to this nursery many times. Best time is when the chain tree is in bloom and you can walk the tunnel. I'll see if I can find a picture of this. Kyla I think you mean the Mukilteo ferry going Clinton?

Yes, that's the ferry.

Also, @springcolor, thanks! Bayview was the one I went to the most often while I lived there; I just had forgotten its name. It's very different than Cultus Bay, but more easily accessible perhaps.

I'll see if I can Julia. We have been planning an Oregon car trip for late spring/early summer, so not sure it would happen this year.

Lynn and Julia, please do the Nursery Trail and report back! That way we know if we should schedule a day or two for it.

I lived briefly on Whidbey Island about 68 years ago. Oak Harbor to be exact. Was too young to appreciate all the gardens though. I envy you your trip. I have managed a couple of trips to Washington and Oregon just to see nurseries with my daughter but she is now is Texas so no more traveling companion. I volunteer at our Alaska Botanical Garden here and enjoy that very much. I confine it to office work but everyone else wants to be in the garden so I feel I am still contributing. Great people. I retired in 2009 and this is the first time I have really felt a commitment to 'commiting' and know it is the right choice for me.
