Me too. I had some of the old fashioned, plain purple etc, and out with the old and in with the new.

My biggest purchase so far in daylilies has been Southern Dazzle. I just can't believe the price on some of them, though. Makes irises look cheap.

I also purchased Carolyn Mann, and I was just amazed when I saw the gold dusting on the chicken fat. It sparkled so that I could see it across the garden.

I got both of those from Ed's co-op on Mama Jacks and they were true to name. Really nice divisions. This year I got Franks Star Of Bethlehem, Just Fabulous, and Kansas City Kicker from the co-op.

Love that Southern Dazzle. Carolyn Mann not so much. Form is lost in the shuffle.

What don't you like about the form? I admit I know nothing about daylilies, but what I see that I like.

I don't like the bubblies that distort the form. I tend to love spiders and historics and species best because of the classic form-graceful, regal. (Same as the JI thing with 3 falls.)
