Howdy Diann! See I do listen to you ;-)

This is "Goldilicks" from Hollingsworth; this was one of my favorites from their catalogue and I am so glad to have a bud this first season so I can see it bloom.

Woo Hoo!!! More pictures. But now I'm taking off for the afternoon to play in the dirt! I'll check in every so often, though!

This is a Hollingsworth peony planted last fall - eigth buds!! Not sure what it is since the description wore off the green tag so all I know is that it is from Hollingsworth. I accounted for my Dawn Glow and Color Magnets, so must be either Top Hat, Hot Chocolate, or Hariainin. I had several where the lettering came off the tags. I will report back when it blooms

Festiva Powder Puff from Klehm in year 3 - I got three flowers last year and counted 15 or 16 buds this year. I love this one; kind of like a big white poof ball.

Actually I just counted them sincxe I had nothing better to do and there are 19!!

This is Tom Cat, also in year 3 from Klehm - got 6 or 7 flowers last year and counted between 25-30 buds this year. This is actually three plants clustered together - seems like a lower-growing peony than most I have.

This is Festiva Maxima in its third or fourth year - really budding up nicely. I will be moving the daffs behind it this year to give it more room :-)

White Cap in back, year two from Klehm - I got three flowers last year and 15 buds this year. One of my absolute favorites so I will be excited ot see it bloom.

Maxine, this is one of the Old Fashioned ones you sent me.....just coming up still but I see lots of buds and not only was this one beautiful but fragrant as well.

And here is the last one I have to sprout - the other old fashioned one you sent Maxine - but I see buds so will be a good year

"Dawn Glow" from Hollinsworth - what a beauty - kind of Athena-like as others have pointed out. Both this plant and my other one have two buds each; one plant has flowered and the other getting ready to. The third I gave away to a DG friend:-)

Color Magnet - from Hollingsworth - all of these have multiple buds...

Paula Fay from Adelman, second year - had one bud last year which aborted so I never got to see a bloom, and three this year which all look viable.

Cream Puff from Adelman; this is one of my favs again - I planted a new plant (this flower is from this plant) last fall and it produced two buds; my Cream Puff planted in 2008 had two buds first year and five this year but has not bloomed yet.

Steve, wow you have so much to look forward to this year. You Texans need to have the peony show in your neck of the woods, APS members would love to tour your amazing grounds during peony season. And you know, you have wonderful taste.

Aww thanks Tracey - maybe in a few years when they get big!! Actually, a "southern peony" show would be kind of cool and might incent others to start planting these wonderful things. Most of them are still so small compared to all of yours, but my goal is to have big beautiful ones like you guys do! By the way, I am watching your "Fried Egg peony you gave me to see if it blooms!

My new "Do Tell" from Klehm, just starting to open - I have two others that I planted in 2008 and which did not bloom last year but will have at least two blooms each this year.

Stevie, your Do Tell is much nicer looking than my Do Tell. Lovely peonies, all of them. I can't wait for you to begin posting the blooms of the ones with just buds.
