This one ended up being named 'Summer Peach', The Worlds first Daylily-Hibiscus Hybrid! A bug has taken a bite out of one of its petal peaches...... :rolleyes:........

The newest one that is grabbing my mind is going to be based on one of my favorite plants and will be labor intensive, yet worth the effort I think. Spotted Horsemint. Its in the Bee-balm group.

Have you ever sold those at garden festivals. I know I would be drawn right too them. They are different, but a flower, which is why people are there.

What do you use to make the little anthers and the other sculpted elements like the spikey things?

I use Brass and copper wire, and epoxy small plastic beads on the ends for anthers and stigmas Dirt.

...and that yellow 'glob' in Mr. Whiskers? the greenish textured collar around the base-also the 'hair' of Miss Twinkle?

Exterior caulk over a combination of soldered, epoxied, and formidebly and strongly fortified infrastucture!

me? nah--I can imagine well, but execution is problematic because the single most valuable resource--time--is in such short supply these days

I was showing a friend some of David's beautiful flower creations, and she suggested that he needs to add in a few critters, like dragonflies or a preying mantis. C'mon, David! Want to see some fantasy bugs to go with the flowers!
