Hilarious! I know, right?
actually, you have no idea how perfect--profound meaning to me beyond the symbolism of it--there is a long and convoluted story regarding the frequencies on which various life forms communicate with each other, the wee hours fusion ceremony, and the resultant chapter Blinking that I could never explain but thankfully I don't need to because the other person gets it Lovey dubby
Anyway, seeing David's creations I am convinced that I really do NEED a catface fantasy flower molested by a bee Rolling on the floor laughing
no, seriously, I need one!
C'mon David, please...

It's David's story to tell. But if you go to the Weather thread in the Daylily forum, it's a brand new thread so it isn't very long -- skip down to where David posts and keep reading for a bit. Might help you to understand.

And no, Woof, I can't send you a link because my computer is on its last breath and I don't dare risk little things like links.
So . . . you're on your own, my dear.

But if he wants to put the Red Headed Turkey Buzzard flower aside for awhile, that's fine, he can create a cat faced bee molested flower anytime he wants to. Fine with me. Big Grin I'm thinking I might want one. Or maybe a dog faced bee molested flower.

Love it. I wondered if you would paint the features of the 'face' when I saw your photo above this one. Loved it then too! Even unpainted.

Mr Whiskers is truly something.
Wondering if I can afford an original 'DavidofDeLand'.

just hav'in fun Woofie. Thank You! Smiling

I always start small Sharon when I move into a new art form.........then after all the years of working in so many mediums I tend to jump into tedious new concepts instantly.

I will work to keep the cost down on these when I do market many of these. I should have stayed simple. I've only been working with these aluminum can flowers a few months and sometimes wonder why I'm so tedious so fast? Blinking

...Anyways,...I think its one of those things where the work starts coming alive to the craftsperson and the piece starts telling the craftsperson where it needs to go;......always been the way I work when creating a project. The project somehow seems to come to come alive for me that way. The waterlily looks are special too, yet they are so much easier to create, yet still a bit timely.

Thank you Sharon for the inspiration and all who are seeing the fun in these faux fantasy aluminum can lifeforms. Smiling (Did I say lifeforms?)
