Rain and temperature make a difference. I just took this picture...normally would never still be blooming this time of year

One of my favorites is 'Princess Diana'. In full bloom now!

Here are a few blooms from today. My type 2 clematis are in desperate need of trimming, and all of my plants need some ES, but it's just too hot!

Arabella keeps pumping out blooms.

Liberation that I though was gone, has arisen from the dead. Lesson learned, NEVER give up on clematis!

Exactly, Annette - never ever give up. My huge pot of Crystal Fountain was merely twigs without a spot of green this year. Now I can spot about 2" of green growth - hurray!

I had one in a pot that I dont see any growth. I am going to take it out and see if I have any roots going.
I duchess of albany is out of control too It went up and over herself on the trellis. I cut her back hard and she still grew so much. I see I have to move her somewhere she can grow up a tree or something really tall.

Could be Arlene. This clem is old old, planted when my kids were small and they are twenty some now. Is Ruutel an old cultivar, will look in data base? Really looks like a match. Big Grin In the old days never saved the name of stuff I planted.

Karen - the color difference could be the sunlight, the monitor or the climate but they're both attractive.

Julia - I didn't keep names at the start either.

Another from tonight, a NOID. Funny how the camera gets the color wrong. It more grape color than violet.

Sure looks like it. Is that an old cultivate? This plant is old, like 15 years.
