Good catch Mary Ann.

Or "What In Blue Blazes". As in the expression "what in the blue blazes is going on here?" Hilarious! Hilarious!

Whatever they name it, I would buy it.

We don't play Saturday. We play Utah tonight, then probably Gonzaga on Sunday. So who is going down tomorrow? It won't break my heart if Notre Dame takes out Kentucky. Being a Dukie, I was happy to see Wisconsin finish UNC. NC State & Louisville are both ACC but I am rooting for NC State. Would love to see them match up with Michigan State. And I want Wisconsin to take out Arizona because we already beat Wisconsin once this year.

So who are you rooting for? Maryland is out.

I am not a big fan of MD basketball (Men's that is - Never have). The ladies is a much different story.

Saturday in Spokane Duke vs Maryland.

I have always like the "lessor" sports as some would like to call all other sports not called Football or Men's Basketball.

Maryland was stupid to move to the Big10 (jeeze, the conference can't even get the number of members right) just for football. We have never been good at it and we will suffer more in the new conference than we ever would in the old one. But sports like Lacrosse will suffer greatly.

Got a call recently about supporting the old school. I told them I would give a large donation when they went back to the ACC. Until then, take me off the list. I am sure I am still on the list though.

Ahem. Ahem ahem ahem. I'm not a big fan of sports in general, and college sports least of all -- but Leslie? UK is the undisputed historical championship team in men's basketball. Let's have a little respect!!! Whistling

Today I think I shall wear my Kentucky Blue scarf when I go out! Green Grin!

Ky is the best talent wise--but I would not want my son playing for Calipari. He started with U. Mass & went very far, but it was later found that Marcus Camby (the star) was paid by booster club & the coach knew about it. He then shifted to Memphis & the same trouble turned up there. Now lots of kids play one year & go to NBA so they come to a program with a good coach, but I would be careful with that coach. He is skillful yet can do harm.

Too many kids (& their backers) are not thinking about the future. Greg Ogdon of Ohio Sate left early & his leg injury doesn't allow him to play. The talented freshman from Ohio St. is thinking of leaving. He is talented & speedy but so are many NBA players & he could be heading for trouble/.

I don't know about all that inside stuff, Lucy. I just think you should *dance with the guy that brung ya* -- and since I'm a Kentucky resident, I should support *my* team.

This does NOT, however, apply to baseball. My loyalties lie elsewhere. Just sayin'. Of course, Kentucky doesn't have a pro baseball team, so no harm done. Smiling

Mary Ann, no disrespect of KY, just I really have no respect for their coach. Pretty much for reasons Lucy brought up.

And hey, gotta love Kentucky - one of the greatest shots in college basketball history was Duke's Christian Laettner's against KY!! What can I say? I am Duke. Hee

Greg - Our girls have been up and down all season, but I am sure they would love to beat their old rivals!! And I agree, Maryland pretty much killed their lacrosse team. The ACC was so competitive in that sport. That said, in basketball Maryland has had a very good first year for both the women and the men.

That it is March Madness. I am sure they will forgive us. Greg loves to give me a hard time about Duke. Rolling my eyes.

March Madness with snow lets one concentrate on something else. So we spend the time rooting for our schools.

I don't think all the sports talk provides names for irises. We can all pull together & get them to use that little SDB with the unusual coloring.

I am a huge UK Wildcat fan and as far as names for irises, John Van Hook named his beautiful new intro Wildcat Madness and that sure applies to our cats. But I am sure that most sports teams don't lend to iris names.
My son-in-law is a Duke grad so we will see if that match-up comes about.
