Here is another seedling that is blooming now!

"Another interesting arilbred (OGB) seedling, 13-AB-05-10, parentage is Alakazam X Silent Sentry. The light lavender standards quickly fade to white making it almost a creamy white self with veining and a nice small dark signal."

This one looks amazing close up (ok, I enlarged the picture; I was never in its presence Sad )

I like the "crispness" of the falls between the light and dark colors. Love it. Lovey dubby

"aril-median seedling (OGB-) in bloom. Parentage is Dragon's Eye X (Cat's Eye x Replicator). We like the yellow color throughout the standards and edge and the nice big red fall signal. 3 buds and a branch, happy with this one so far."

Thumb of 2015-03-30/Misawa77/81a104

I like the Yellow veining in the standards. They seem to stand out more than on other cultivars.

last one for now!

"Arilbreds are at peak bloom here now, so here's another interesting seedling that we like. 13-AB-12-10. We like the different vein colors in the standards and falls. Also like the bold color on the style-arms. A very involved seedling (going all the way back to 2001) X Sand Dancer. The pod seedling involves a sib to Bhutan, 2 doses of Bagdad's Folly, 1 dose of Sheik, 1 dose of Energizer."

I like them all, Greg, but the aril-median. with the red signal on the yellow falls, will be a stand out in any garden!

I like the first one, but agree that the second would really stand out.

The 2nd one would grow best here where parent 'Dragon's Eye' would not.

Look out baby!

"An aril-median we're looking at for possible introduction next year (2016). 12-AM-05-07, OGB- (1/4-bred), parentage is New Vision X (Cat's Eye x Replicator), so it has rebloom genes in there, but no rebloom so far. We like the pure blue standards and the contrast between them and the dark signal and reddish plum wash on the creamy light chartreuse falls."

What I really like is the line/vein extension from the spot down the centerline. That looks really cool!

Best one yet! Do you think it would live in Wisconsin?

You will never know till you try, Tom !! So far, all my AB's have survived (wish I could say that about the TB's Grumbling )the Illinois winter, and are showing signs of good growth. I have heard that it's not the cold winter, so much as lack of a "dry" summer dormant period, that gives trouble Confused I don't know....but, I'm fixing to find out!

Yeah, "dry summer dormant period" are words never used to describe a southern summer. Hilarious!

Is it an OGB or OGB- ? the second one is more apt to live.
