another Arilbred seedling. This one is a VL type.

Thumb of 2015-04-13/Misawa77/b374ad

"A very late blooming arilbred seedling 13-AB-09-01, getting close to my goal of overall veining and a signal. But now I want to get a larger signal, then I'll be really pleased. Parentage is Alakazam X Energizer."

Seedling 10-IB-02-23

Thumb of 2015-04-13/Misawa77/c17611

"We don't do a lot of IB breeding any more, but we've been looking at this one lately. 10-IB-02-23, parentage is Bluebeard's Ghost X Glacier Point. Very pale light blue accented by a darker blue beard, very floriferous and puts on a nice show in the garden."

I will buy that one. Not a lot of white shorter iris with blue beards.

Ok, this may be technically the wrong place to display this seedling, I don't think it will do any harm. Here is one of Roger Duncan's seedlings.

Duncan 13-C-22-17

Thumb of 2015-04-15/Misawa77/16bab5

"Roger doesn't grow many seedlings any more, but we like this one "Duncan 13-C-22-17". Massive space-age flower with 8 buds and adequate branching. Very wide nicely formed falls, which can sometimes be a problem with space-agers. Parentage is Cry Me A River X Air Hog"

I really like this one!

Another seedling for your viewing pleasure!

13-TB-17-39

Thumb of 2015-04-23/Misawa77/135355

"Blooming on the late side from everything else in the cross of Camera Ready X Tuscan Summer was this nice seedling 13-TB-17-39. Everything else that bloomed in this cross was of brownish and golden tones except for this one. Looked out of place in this planting, but we're glad we found it. 10 buds and show branching, plus we really like how the white and the intense yellow ground from Tuscan Summer shows in the falls. You can see a lot of the yellow/gold/brown sisters around in the background."

I LOVE this one. Lovey dubby It reminds me of Sterling Innerst's "Colorwatch" with the White & Yellow section on the Falls. Thumbs up

On the subject of Tasco, I am sure he would be pleased to know that his SDB Inner Space is not only a beauty, but has a very long bloom time. Two weeks on from the first bloom it still has a bloom. And this is a first year iris!

Seedling 10-TB-38-06

Thumb of 2015-05-01/Misawa77/d9968e

"A seedling we've been thinking about for several years, 10-TB-38-06. Isn't heavily ruffled nor the most modern form, but the colors are very bright and it puts on a great show in colors that seem to be appealing to many garden visitors. Parentage is Frosted Pumpkin (one of our best sellers every year) X Lois Hanford. We're going to line it out next year and make a decision for 2017."
