Mine bloomed from March until early summer. I don't even know whether I still have that plant, but if I do, it should be growing an inflorescence. I need to see if I still have that plant. I have several Phal. with inflorescences. Here is what the flowers looked like last spring.

I tip my hat to you. All Mother Nature. I had little to do with it blooming.

I agree I can only grow Phals in the house, as I can't keep them cool enough outside. I have two that are going to rebloom now...a kalidascope from Costco and a standard white that was a resturant reject. The problem is that they bloom facing the window, so I have to wait for them to fully open before I can turn them to see the flowers. Sad

You are loaded, Melissa. I now see six spikes on my huge, old NOID Den. It seems to grow a new one every week now.

Compared to all of you, basking in multiple blooming plants, I have little going on. I have some Phal. in stem/bud and then this morning I saw one of my Oerstedella centradenia in bud. This is a miniature plant, though the reed-stems may get 12" long. The leaves and flowers are tiny. I received this plant (half the size it is now) mounted on a bit of cork and mounted that small piece of cork onto a larger one.

Good looking roots and buds there on your Oerstedella centradena, Ken.
I had one for many years, it bit the dust last Summer, I was bummed.

I think it is happy on the cork. To me at least, nothing beats cork.

My Enc. Green hornet is in an Epiweb pot, and trying to get out. The plant looks healthy, but pot is full and stretching at the top with pseudobulbs, and there are no roots getting through the Epiweb. Thinking I need to take a knife and pierce some big holes in the web to let the roots get through. Maybe even slice up the side of the pot to let it expand.

The other two orchids I put in the Epiweb have both died. I'm a bit worried. Sorry, I can't post new pictures at the moment, my computer is refusing to acknowledge its USB ports . . . Shrug!

Elaine, I lost one in a small Epiweb pot, but the one in a large Epiweb pot is hanging in there. Some roots did grow through, but have died. For sure, once the roots grow through the Epiweb, you aren't going to get the plant out without surgery.

Nice, can't wait to see the gigantea peach when it opens!

You inspired me to go peek at the undersides of my Den. anceps and sure enough, I have some little pips showing under there, too! Mine's just a small start, but I guess it's happy.

My Den anceps was not ready to bloom yet when I checked it last week. Soon!
