Very unusual and cute for sure. I went out and walk around the garden this morning. Found a couple new blooms. Oh yea, something crawling on the wall. nodding

Annette, your blooms are lovely. Thumbs up I need to look into planting more spring bulbs, as the flowers are so cheery looking at the end of a dreary winter. They provide such a variety to look at and enjoy, while we are waiting for perennials to wake up. Thank You! for the inspiration.

You guys are lucky to have tulips come back every year. I only have one patch that returns. All other varieties die out after 1 year since it is too warm here.

This is year 3, but the patch is getting smaller.

Thanks, Deebie.

Next up are my tree peonies. I posted them on the peony forum, but since they are perennials, I am repeating here. Big Grin

Have I killed it?
I moved a Oriental Poppy today. Its small even tho it has been in the garden 3 years. It was a small plug so is just catching up.
There was quite a bit of clay soil with it but the tip of the main root was nipped.

Same thought here. If it still looks spry in a week you should have success.

Looks good so far, and you'll probably have one pop back up from where you moved that one from- it seems any little piece of root left behind will grow into a new plant.

I moved some last year from a friends garden right when they were going dormant, and replanted them the same day. They survived beautifully!

Thanks everyone. I went against my own best judgment and did a spring move. Normally I would move it in late summer. It wasnt in enough sun and struggled since three years ago.
I will keep everyone posted. I would like to see blooms at least once.

I bet you'll see them. Many plants seem to be pre-programmed to bloom even if we move them. I'm sure you watered it in and wouldn't rely on the rain. Too often the rain is a mere sprinkle while it can be a mighty force at other times.

Everything was pretty wet. Pirl is right, rains dont amount to much until May when we get all day downpours.

I'll be heading outside soon despite the predictions for rain. Having less than half an inch over 10 hours shouldn't leave me too wet.

I just noticed Epimediums are blooming! They're subtle, but so sweet and delicate.

Bleeding Hearts are getting showy. It amazes me how they start blooming so small, and get so big and bushy later.

WOW Neal, I love my epimediums.
They are subtle and make a nice undergrowth.

Oooooh, JoAnn, you've got some very cool ones! Love that Lilli! The yellow one looks very similar to one I have, but it hasn't started blooming yet; it's on the north side of the house, and everything there is a couple of weeks behind everywhere else. Do you know how old that variety has been around? I'll post pics when mine bloom so we can compare.

I've also got a little pink one that has just begun blooming. It doesn't have the long spurs like yours.
