I see on the Plant ID forum that it blooms in spring/summer, so it must be weigela. And the new growth looks like my weigela.

Thanks Vickie. I can't believe that I buy these plants and then can't remember what I planted where or what I even purchased.

I have a few spiderwarts and they divide easy , just dig it in the spring and cut in half or thirds and plant back in the ground. They are not fussy plants.

Thumbs up Thank You! Cinda. I think I will do that to this one along my back fence. It has really grown the past couple of years. I would love to have it growing in other flower beds. Are they normally full sun plants?

Most places say part shade but mine are all growing in sun. I think as long as they get enough water. One of my gardens has no water and I have noticed the plant die back, in late summer, in dry years, then come back with the fall rains.

Thanks Cinda. I am looking forward to having more Spiderwart plants growing in my flower beds. I have very little shade right now. It is either full sun or full afternoon sun. I can't wait to post pictures this summer.

Here are a few more pictures of some of my flowers. This first one is my burning bush. For some reason, I didn't think it looked as good this year as it has before. This 2nd picture is a black Petunia. I planted a yellow one beside this black one. The black one did great but the yellow one eventually dried up.

This 1st picture is one of my Dalhias that I dig up. This was its second year. The 2nd picture is my Russia Sage. My friend gave me the fox figurine that is under the bench.

I think this plant is called Silver Mound. I really like this plant. I want to get some cuttings started from it this year so I have more of them. The 2nd picture are flowers that my friend gave me. She said they were her aunts. Does anyone recognize that they are called?

Thank You! Larry. I thought that was what it was but wasn't sure.

I like that color of that Dahlia also. It has dark leaves while some of my other ones I have have green leaves. About that Geranium, I have 2 of them growing in the garage under grow lights. Not sure what I am suppose to do with it in the Spring. Do you know? Do I just set the whole container outside as is or do I trim it back when I set it out when the weather permits?

I don't, Jeanne. Warm enough here that usually mine just go in ground.

Here are some more of my Dahlias. This fence goes along the whole length of our backyard. There are many areas that need to be filled in with more flowers and shrubs. I have been taking my time working on this long flower bed. There are Tulips planted in places so I have to make sure I know where those areas are before I do any planting. I will post pictures of my Spring flowers when they are blooming. I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE SHOW TO BEGIN.

Finally, I have some flowers blooming. I about froze my hands outside a bit ago taking these pictures. The wind is really blowing hard and the temperature is 41 degrees at 1:15 PM. It is suppose to be cool all week. Tuesday night is suppose to get down to 29 or below. I am wondering if I should go out and cover anything. Any thoughts on that???

We built our home in 2000. I have been working on adding new flower beds and new plants for going on 15 years. Most of my plants are NOID. I am going to try to get better at mapping my beds when I add new plants. I hope you enjoy my blooms.

I went outside a while ago and about froze my hands taking pictures of my flowers. It was 41 degrees at 1:15 PM. It is suppose to be cool all week with a couple nights below freezing. I am worried about my plants. Does anyone think I should cover them?? Here are some pictures of what is blooming right now. Most are NOID. I need to start making a map of where I plant things so that I will know what they are. Any help identifying them would be appreciated.

Looks like the things you have blooming are pretty hardy , but it would depend how cold(frost 28+ ) usually not a problem but a freeze for all night might nip some things. I always pick what flowers I can in that case , like tulips and daffodils, and cove big beds with sheets for just a little extra warmth.

Nice pics, Jeanne. I am afraid I can't identify the variety of Muscari for sure, but it is Muscari. Don't know what the purple bloom is either, but I love it!

I have been busy when the weather is favorable as I am sure everyone is. I needed a place to plant Day lilies so I raked up old mulch and fabric along my back fence flower bed. I am using the old mulch in my raised beds area.

Thumb of 2015-04-26/gardenglassgems/cc8f2f

This next picture is finished except for some decor.

Thumb of 2015-04-26/gardenglassgems/68d4b0

Now I need to make room for my NOID Iris that I dug up from my raised beds. So I am continuing along the back fence and am taking up more old mulch.

I can't wait to see how this all looks in a couple of years.
