Senior moment, I planted the lupines last year (2014). Some of them actually lived and thrived during the early part of the year, then as the heat mounted they sucumbed to the heat. I will be surprised if any of them return "this year" (2015). I planted them from seed and they germinated well and grew fairly fast, they could not take the heat it appears. The same for the Delphiniums, even though one year I did manage to have one beautiful plant, but it never returned. Last year the plants were doing great then the deer and the bunnies found them before they got very large and then the heat finished them off.

Photos 3 and 4 are not daylilies they are liles the foliage is different than daylilies. They could be Asiatic lilies not sure which varieties.

Thank You! I am so glad that you are enjoying my flowers. I love being outside taking care of them.

I think Lupine may come back every other year. Correct me if I am wrong. This particular Lupine only looked like this one season. I planted several from seed this past summer and am hoping they come back but I am not going to hold my breath. They did grow and had a few blooms.

Betty, thanks for telling me about the Lilies. I was thinking that some of the pictures were not Daylilies. I really appreciate the input.

I could use a little help naming this first vine if you know what it is.

You have a wonderful array of flowers, Jeanne! I don't know what that vine is in your last set of pictures, but is is very pretty! I wish I could grow delphiniums, just don't have luck with them. But it's been many years, maybe I should try again.

Thanks Vickie Smiling There are so many flowers that I want that I don't have yet. I am afraid that I want at least one of everything. I think I am obsessed.

Thank You! Debra! I will do that. I have others that I should put on there also. I am going Thrift Store shopping with a couple of friends. Supposedly for clothes but I will be looking at all their other STUFF first. Looking for anything that can go in my yard and is fairly inexpensive. Can't wait for summer to do some garage sales. Have a great day.

By the way, I am waiting for someone to identify the vine, because I don't know what it is either but it sure is pretty

The vine looks like painted lady runner bean.

It is a'' runner bean'' but without pod and bean for a more specific ID it could be one of a couple.

I will see if I have the seed so I can show you. I have the Hyacinth Bean seed also. I do think this unknown vine is a Bean of some kind. I am also going to look to see if I have an old seed envelope for it but I do not think I do. Thanks for all you help and input.

Here is a picture of the bean seeds. This is not a very good picture. Not sure what is wrong with this camera. Maybe I should try new batteries. It does look like the Scarlet Runner Bean Vine. Does anyone what some of these seeds? Let me know how many you want.

I know what the Hyacinth Bean vine and seeds look like. It is the Painted Lady or Scarlet Runner that I was unsure of. I really didn't know that you could eat them. Can you eat both the Painted Lady and the Hyacinth bean? I thought they were just flower vines. Thanks for your information.

Yes they are edible both as green and dried , but a lot of people use them as ornamental.

Thank You! Cinda. Do you cook them the same as other beans or do I need to research how to cook them. I really want to learn more about these edible beans. I thought they were only a decorative annual vine. I have been growing them both for several years but never thought about eating them.
