Mary Ann, Disguise looks like the falls are more redish on some pictures. Is that just the camera thing, or does the color vary? I like the way it looks above.

Bonnie - Love Dazzling Sarah. And yes, please save me some Candy Apple when it is ready!

Chasing Rainbows is very nice. I think the pics I have seen of it in catalogs have not done it justice.

Tom - your pics of Dipped in Dots are fantastic. I still need to add that one to my garden. Thumbs up

I have lots of D's that haven't bloomed yet, and I am really looking forward to the bloom of Downtown Brown and Durham Dream, BUT I am going to go with one that has bloomed for me for now, and that is Dancing Spree

Dipped in Dots is an amazing iris. Just beautiful. Yes, it is hard to choose just one.

Arlyn -- Dotted Swiss is wonderful! And I love that you got it from your Mom!!! Lovey dubby It reminds me of Blue Shimmer, don't you think?

Leslie, you're right -- I have never seen a picture of Chasing Rainbows that did it justice -- even my own. In person, it is the most beautiful Iris I have ever seen. I bought it as a potted Iris in the spring of 2008, at a local nursery. It was not blooming at the time. I planted it -- and it went ahead and bloomed that summer -- teeny, tiny little blooms -- and I was worried that it was some kind of miniature bloom species. When it bloomed the following spring, all my worries evaporated -- and I just fell in love with it. Have never fallen out of love with it!! Green Grin!

Dipped in Dots is unusual!! I have never seen it before -- neither have I seen Leslie's Dancing Star!!

Tom -- Disguise's fall color depends on whether it's in the sun, or shade. Here's another picture, taken on a sunny day:

And here's a clump shot taken on a cloudy day:

That is the way I remember Disguise, Mary Ann. Lavender and deep velvet plum falls. I don't grow it anymore as it seemed to struggle here. I love Tom's Dipped in Dots.

Ok, not a real hard decision this time. Yes, I still had three contenders, (Delirium, Dorothy Davis, & Diamond Ring) but in the end it was a run away.

I agree. But it's a stunning Iris, no matter where it is. I don't think my pictures do it justice. That beard is visible a block away!!!

That is a really nice one Neal, I got it in 2013, but it didn't bloom last year yet, maybe this year.
