Some nice "B's" ! Now some "C's", since it's a new day and I'm the only one in the world up already, I'll start them out.

Another oldie, Coronation (1927) , hailed as one of the first deep yellow TBs. The clump in bloom reminds me of a flock of butterflies. Also seemed appropriate as it was introduced the year my mom was born, and her birthday was the 12th (and she always looked good in yellow Smiling )

When I look at pictures of my irises I realize there are different reasons why they are my favorite. Some for their beauty alone, like Cosmopolitan, seen from afar floating above the others irises. And some because they bloom every year, like little Candy Apple, regardless of their growing conditions. Since we are doing C's I will choose LA Cool Nite

This iris is bright navy blue with a golden yellow signal. I am a 'blue' person so I just had to have this one. It has bloomed every year since I have had it.
Thro' all the tumult and the strife I hear the music ringing; It finds an echo in my soul— How can I keep from singing?

I have Captain's Choice but it hasn't bloomed yet. This Spring, I'm hoping.

Okay guys - I think Mary Ann is suppose to be the moderator here deciding when the next letter is up! Got to give the west coast time to chime in! Smiling

So, my "C":
Chuckwagon, which will hopefully bloom for the first time this year!

Though I am really looking forward to Cowboy Caviar, and the repeat of one that bloomed like crazy last year, Coal Seams:

You're not a day behind Arlyn -- *B* day got cut short. Whistling

If anyone hasn't posted their *B* Iris -- just go ahead and do so -- love to see them!! Green Grin!

This again was a difficult task. I have alot of "C" cultivars, but not a whole lot of them are "stunners". Still, it came down to two worthy candidates.+

Cardinal Rule

VS

Codicil

Sterling Innerst's "Codicil" takes the top slot.

Beautiful choice, Ken. Since you got a late start, why don't you go ahead and post your *A* and *B* choices!! Green Grin!

Glad that you're here Mary (Oberon46). If you have no Irises, no need to watch from the sidelines -- you can post a *wish* Iris!! Thumbs up

Pretty Iris Greg -- what do you love about it?

Both beautiful choices Leslie! I especially like Chuckwagon!!

Guess I have to catch up. My favorite 'B' (has already bloomed in my yard) is Bubbling Waves..Ghio 2006..it bloomed 2014 for the 1st time for me. It's so ruffled and shows itself off!
Thumb of 2015-01-14/Bloomers/05387f My 'C' is an all time favorite for a lot of people...it never fails me. I must take at least a couple dozen pictures a year of it. Conuration..Byers 1988.
