Gypsy Romance from Schreiner 1994 is a fantastic grower. Schreiner's has most of my favorite purples.

Golly Gee Whiz is so unusual and gorgeous! I'd have a tough time working that in the garden, but I'd sure give it my best shot!

Celia, Gypsy Queen does have a subtle beauty that I can appreciate up close. Out in the garden, where she performs like a trouper, a clump in bloom gives me the immediate impression that a brown paper bag has blown into the garden, LOL.

Thanks, Neal! It's real hard to leave for work in the mornings during bloom season, that's for sure. Whistling

I know what you mean. Luckily, my work is short, concentrated bursts of time, and I do get a lot of days to spend in the garden, but in spring, when I'm busy with wedding design work, I ache to stay home! I often go home for lunch, make a quick sandwich, and spend my lunch break walking around the garden stuffing my mouth, LOL.

Gallant Theme is a beauty, Barbara -- and looks like a prolific bloomer!! Thumbs up

You're right about that Sherry -- Irises have changed a LOT in our lifetimes!! I like to keep a few historics in my gardens to remind me of that. Gay Geisha is a good example of where hybridization was in the 50's and 60's. The 70's began the serious search for ruffles!!

Gizmo is one of the most unusual colored out there, Bonnie!! You sure do love the little guys!! nodding

Gypsy Lady is a beauty, Tom. It incorporates the same colors as Swedish Lullaby, an introduction in Keppel's new catalog (there's a little tid-bit for ya!). Gypsy Lady has richer coloration though -- Swedish Lullaby is very pastel. I also love it when the rims are a different color -- and when I see it, I always think "how'd they DO that?" LOL!! Hilarious!

I have never seen Golly Gee Whiz, Stacey -- thank you for sharing that one!! I'm so glad you decided to join our alphabet odyssey!! GGW is amazing!!!

Arlyn, the data base needs that pic and any info you have. I've just got 1859, now classified as IB. You'll get 2 acorns because yours is the first pic.

Thumbs up Smiling Neal

Posting two because it is Sunday. Big Grin

Gay Parasol // Ginger Ice

Brad, you are an extraordinarily generous man. Hope the day gave back to you as generously (if you are on Maui, I am sure it did just by being there, but, still...) Smiling

Gypsy Queen is a cutie, Neal -- I don't have many little guys -- I'm in the process of rectifying that!!

Arlyn -- that's a remarkable beard on Gingerbread Man!!!

I got Ginger Ice this past year -- I would love it if she blooms for me this spring!! Lovey dubby How I love those shades of brown!!

Mary Ann, I'll have plenty to share this summer. I'm only going to keep 3 rhizomes (in a different bed), the rest will be up for grabs.

Stacey - I love your Burseen!

Neil - I don't think of Gypsy Queen as homely at all. I would be glad to give her a home. And I love Gingerbread Man, Arlyn. Such nice little ones guys! And now that I have seen Bonnie's pick I hope my Gizmo blooms this year. Got it from Sue and it is quite a grower!

All of you who know me on here can guess my "G" without even trying. My favorite favorite.
And that would be.....G.....

Still stumped, maybe a replay of my old avatar shot to remind you! (Yes, it is in the database)

Yes we do Leslie -- and what a worthy choice!!

Tom -- why not have Sundays be double portion day? Greatest Show on Earth is wonderful!! I didn't know about that one!!! I love the ray around the beards! Lovey dubby

Glamorama was appropriately named, don't you think Kent? Green Grin!

Thank you Neal -- I'll tuck that in my memory bank. I was given a couple old Irises by a neighbor last summer, NOID's, and I'm thinking one of them looks like this. If it blooms this spring I'll know if I need that one or not!!

Well, if we get second helping, I only have one more G that has already bloomed for me.

Gnu's Flash (that is striking in the rain)

So.....double portion, you say ?! So I'll double Sticking tongue out !
Here's ANOTHER pic of Gypsy Queen, for Neal:

And my 'Double G" pick would be.....Gibson Girl (I guess some of those "Gibson Girls" may have had "double "G's" Sticking tongue out ):

which is ALSO a "double," in that she re blooms !

Good morning. Wow...a nice way to start the day...beautiful pictures posted! Ahh, how long now till April, May. Constantly checking to see who's open for orders and what new ones they're offering. Can't wait to get my Keppel catalogue...noticed some have already received them. I have two favorite 'G's. Gypsy Geena (Blyth 2003) was my 1st choice before I got Grace Upon Grace (Roberts 2007), now it's a toss up.
