I have tried so many different tomatoes and honestly I always come back to those Big Boys and Better Boys as my favorites.

Good to know! I was thinking of getting those this year. I didn't start any seeds this year. I am feeling defeated from getting tomato problems every year! I want to go with a good disease resistant one.
I have been busy trying to get my veggie garden in order and spreading the 3 yards of compost instead of mulch this year.. Lots of maintenance this year.
I am a little disappointed that 2 of the 3 lily tulips blooming I planted from J Scheepers are not what they are supposed to be and the one that is right is a puny little thing. I ordered Perestroika http://www.johnscheepers.com/t... and the 2 wrong ones look like blushing lady. Hopefully when the rest bloom they are right.

Those are very pretty....I have also ordered tulips from Scheepers that are small.....they looked like full-sized in the photo, but are really tiny......

So I realize none of the tulips are Perestroika, it is really funny that they are these two tulips from the Temple of Beauty photo on the website. http://www.johnscheepers.com/f... I have ordered many bulbs from J. Scheepers and I have never got mislabeled bulbs before this. Hope it was a fluke!
Perestroika is my fave and I was really looking forward to it, so no matter how beautiful they are I would be disappointed. If I had to pick I prefer the Blushing Beauty.

Nonetheless, they are beautiful! I used to order from Sheepers many years ago. Always sent top quality bulbs!

Has anyone ever had rodents eat Lilium rubrum bulbs before? I had a huge patch near my pool for a few years and it looks like something dug the area up and there is literally one sprout! All my others Lilies are up already! I am so sad. Sad

I was just told a fox trotted across the backyard. Perhaps sniffing at home of Mr, Chuck & get chippies while he is around.

They can be cute but so destructive. I was planting my raised bed and was finding all kinds of tunnels.

they live in our stone wall (ok with me) & in a hill above an extension of the driveway (not ok). A few dwarf iris on that hill, & a cute Peppermint Twist ground phlox.
