I just finished making my bed by the road bigger and moved some Daylilies there and planted my Chrysanthemums from Bluestones. I snipped them back because they were budding just last week and it looks like I will have to do it again on a couple already! It says they get 36" tall, but does anyone know if that's only if left to go free?

That's a lot of Daylilies to find room for!
I am on an Iris kick, I noticed other people have some that are blooming already and I am jealous, so I need to fix that and find some early ones!! Hilarious!

Love the pastel pinks with the green. The black one too-it's a good black flower. Thumbs up

I had ordered some dwarf iris years ago, one was called Miss Meredith (you can see why I wanted it, right? ;) )
The other I think was apricot drops. The Miss Meredith bloomed once and I am pretty sure it died out. The apricot dops never bloomed. Last July I noticed my JM was taking over some of the Iris so I moved them to a dry sunny spot inside my pool fence. Guess what I noticed yesterday evening!

I was so happy since I had bought and planted them so long ago and never saw any flowers. I think the spot I had them was too shady. However my tall bearded Iris did bloom there. I am praying Miss Meredith will show up too!

I got my Lady Emma Hamilton from David Austin yesterday. It is planted, however you wouldn't know it since I buried the whole rose in order to have the grafted bud union at recommended depth! Can't wait to see that one bloom!

Last year I bought David Austin's Heathcliff for $10.00......came through the winter fine, so I'm hoping to see blooms soon!

I had a feeling there was another one that I never saw bloom, it is called Truly. Maybe that one will show up next year too! I checked my journal, it was 2009 when I planted them!

I ordered about 10 dahlias from them this year....all are planted, but need rain to pull them up! Stopped at my friend's farm in NH....bought several salvias & a fuchsia....have to entice those hummers! Saw one the other evening, but he flew away quickly....
