At Schreiners on a cool overcast morning, most of the blooms were darker than usual. This is how I saw Undercurrent that day, I have never seen it that dark in my garden or any other images in other gardens. But those beards are stunning with the purple!

I love lavender irises but in my quest for blue I have several now. So many are described as blue when they are not. And some vendors perpetuate this fallacy. that being said, I love Under the Boardwalk.
Thro' all the tumult and the strife I hear the music ringing; It finds an echo in my soul— How can I keep from singing?
Hmmmm! "U"..................Hmmm!.............don't have too many "U"'s................Hmmmm!, Well, I'll "re post" Ultimate.....it's the only "U" I have a pic for:
And, since today is a "twofer"...and since I only have picks of ONE "U", and since "U nknown" starts with "U".....here's an "Unknown" (better known as a NOID !)"
This iris is "Unfinished Business" with purple horns that are sometimes curlier and often bigger than those in the picture. It is very tall and hybridized by Griner. My only other "U" irises are Uncle Charlie (Spoon) and Uncle Jim (hybridized by John Van Hook).
